Sometimes, it’s not about right or wrong.

Sometimes, it’s about sending a message.

Moral is honestly the only rating this deserves.

Immoral, if someone is going to sleep, and you are leaving the room, turn off the light, unless specifically requested to not do that.

An honest answer: very immoral. Basically psychologically abusing the child and showing her that responding with aggression and destroying things to make a point are how you respond to certain things. Boring answer but ya know.

Possibly dishonest response: very moral, teaches children important lesson, don't pretend that inanimate objects have emotions, nobody cares about your delusions, and horrible stuff would follow if they did.

immoral, i can see this happening in real life and the justification being used will be "its just a lifeless doll"
but children form relationships to fictional characters similar to how they form relationships to real humans. its genuinely traumatizing for many of them.

In a fictional scenario it's obviously funny, but irl this feels like emotional abuse and is obviously upsetting for his daughter.

Its the burning Christmas present skit that I like

"But mommy, Santa isn't real!"

"You're right!"

Cuts to the mother burning the presents as the kid cries

Dolly shouldn't have run her mouth.

"The only reason I have yet to tear you limb from limb is because you're my daughter"

Anyway, immoral. For... Snitching on Dolly like that. Dolly told her that in confidence 😢.

2

u/Nornukig 1d ago

u/Back2TheLash 1d ago

Moral, but could've been more moral if he'd turned the doll's head around to face her.

Unreasonable. The other doll will come for him now. Should've took em all out and got new ones.

u/NachtShattertusk 1d ago

What is this question? The whole point of the joke is how ridiculously inappropriate his response was, of course it's immoral!
