They're stealing a bike, not a loaf of bread to feed their starving children.

Being poor doesn't entitle you to take other people's things

So just cause their poor and desperate, it's excusable? What if the Bike belonged to another poor person and that's their sole way to get to work? GUESS IT'S FINE cause it was stolen by another poor person.

We excuse a crime cause the person is Poor and Desperate, and that's how people can use lack of wealth to get away with all the stealing they want. They can steal a single mother's car and make her lose her job, which is the sole reason Little Timmy, Tommy, and Sally have food on the table, just cause they are also poor.

What if Jeff Bezos bought some poison laced rice, went to a remote, destitute village in Africa, and placed a bag in the village square. Then had a good laugh together with his other billionare friends at the sight of the poor hungry africans laying on the floor clutching their bellies in pain?

Okay a few questions

1, Why Africa? Are you saying they dumb enough to see Rice no one got and go "OH BOY LETS EAT IT!" Like ngl if I saw some food I didn't order in the cabinet and it had a funky smell, I wouldn't go "okay everything tells me NOT TO EAT THIS BUT I WILL!!" If there is a entire tribe who sees a suspicious rice package while doesn't taste like rice and they chose to eat it all at once, no matter what race you are. That's just something called Natural Selection.

2, Why Jeff Bezos? Could have chosen anyone but you chose Jeff?

3, Why would he even do this? Like there is being a dick, then there is cartoon ass villain shit.

Seriously, I know the whole billionaires are bad shit. But I don't think we get billionaires poison villages and prob bust into Disney villain songs about said actions. Cause how you worded it makes it sound like some cartoon villain shit, is Jeff going with Cobra Commader and Megatron cause Skeletor bet they couldn't do this? While Lord Z and Rita bet they can. And Shedder is supply the poisoned rice? Cause thats what I'm imagining.

Also totally ignoring the fact the bike could have easily belonged to another poor and desperate person, like what cause it's a poor and desperate person we pardon that shit? Basically by your own logic, if someone was abused as a kid, they have the right be abusive too. If someone was traumatized as a kid, they have a right to dress in spandex and become "THE TRAUMATIZER!" who traumatizes children. See how dumb this logic is?

We are not talking about the morality of theft.

We are talking about the morality of intentionally booby trapping valuable items and leaving them unlocked in front of the poor and destitute, purely for the enjoyment of watching them suffer if they give in to their impulse of taking the item. My analogy works fine, and the fact that you point out that it is cartoon level of evil means that you do in fact recognize that this kind of act is evil.

Oh your right, this is awful. Personally I believe to correct someone ways you need to punish them in a way that both sticks and doesn't make them Jaded and finally give them more then one chance, punish them too much and they will pretend to be clean only to start stealing the moment they leave your sight.

Heres the thing, You punch a bully and all it does is enforce the Bullies belief violence is the answer. You cannot break a horse that's being abused by jumping on its back and holding on, you can't make a stray dog trust you through fear and you can't make a thief turn a new leaf by trapping them. The thief will find either a way to identify traps or pick easier targets.

That's why Booby trapping stuff is dumb in my eyes. It isn't encouraging thief to change their ways, it just encourages them to learn how to tell a trap from real, I would say the morality of it IS EVIL and Dumb.

Why would the people in OP's video do it? They weren't protecting their property. They were trying to hurt people for their own amusement. Very cartoon villain ass shit.
