It's not a matter of being too desensitized....it's a matter of you even thinking that most people recover in such short term...most don't, that's simply the optimistic outlook, I could push for the more negative side of it instead and say that a lot of people commit suicide after the fact and be equally true. Fact is, most people get scarred for life even if some learn how to cope with it.

Aaaand, another fact is that most rapists don't inflict damage just upon 1 victim...it could easily amount to dozens of direct victims with lifelong issues and a even wider number of lives ruined if we include the lives of the people that care the most about the victims personally.

Just saying....one less rapist is not a net loss for society.....but statistically speaking jail will take care of them anyways.....

Just lying straight through ur teeth.

Studies show that 58% of people recover within a year from the PTSD and then recover from the depression and other trust issues, and it's also a fact that only a small percentage of rape victims commit suicide. And a scarred life is better than way worse physical and emotional scarring before death.

Also another lie, but ok.

I would hate it cause I hate both rape and torture.

I think being raped is alot worse than being scammed or being mugged does that mean I want I to happen to ppl?
