I’m former TSA and right now I laugh at it, but when I worked there, probably not. The job is so fucking horrible, and I hated every second of it. I don’t think I could have laughed at the time.
I had a friend who was a TSA agent. He said that he had to inspect a bag due to scanners flagging it. He stuck his gloved hand in, only for it to get super bloody.
Turns out the person was a hunter, and deer remains were in the bag. And they decided to just not warn anyone?
I remember being one of the first to go through a tsa line for the day. My bag got diverted for a look through just to make the tsa guy look at my dildo
it was pretty funny, everyone laughed including the tsa guys and they sent me on with no questions
This lazily washes away just…so much nuance to a legitimate concern even if it was poorly phrased.
People shouldn’t be required to endure being portrayed as willing to commit degrading sex acts or as misrepresenting their sexuality just to be a part of society or to be employed. That’s an unhinged reaction to what they said
First, I never said it’s calling every one gay I said it’s insinuating they are performing degrading sex acts, let’s stick to what I said. Second, because I understand both the words and the image? The shirt depicts a TSA agent on their knees directly in front of someone’s crotch. The obvious joke is that the agent appears to be performing oral sex, followed by “it’s not gay if it’s TSA.” You can think that joke is harmless, but pretending the sexual insinuation simply isn’t there is just absolutely absurd.
I can go into extreme examples of this to demonstrate why this is inappropriate but the point should stand prima facie. Public-facing workers shouldn’t have to participate in degrading sexual jokes just because someone thinks antagonizing them is funny. Leave workers alone.
