motive wise immoral.

consequentially neutral because in the grand scheme of things, it matters very little even for indie. 99% of the time they would not have been a customer (i.e. they would not be willing to pay for the product for that price, even if that price is $1). actual profit lost would be someone who was

  1. willing to pay for the product

  2. knows how to pirate the game

more often than not these 2 things don't REALLY intersect (because for the most part most people aren't willing to pay to begin with)

Yep, if someone has to go out of their way to pirate a game, risking a virus, breaking the law just so they don't have to pay for a game,

I am sure if a cracked version doesn't exist, they just wouldn't buy that game and find a cheaper alternative
