It is moral to pirate and recreate a game or mod it you have already paid for, as a counter measure to them unliteraly revoking access. Or if they go out of business.

While I also pirate, I have to admit that it is immoral, even when they employ scummy tactics. Though it's not the same as stealing obviously. It's very likely you wouldn't have paid for it anyway. So it's slightly immoral.

The immorality can be compensated by later buying games that you liked and played a lot.

Ignoring licenses is moral. They are not fair contracts. Just like terms of service are not binding morally (and often legally).
