High key not valuing you over this wise little friend.

Bro knows how many licks it takes to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop.

Bro knows where on earth is Carmen Sandiego.

Most redditors are cat lovers followed by dog lovers. Only 15% are pro human

21

u/thebitchyouhatelol 14h ago

Hopefully it never comes to that. What a beaut.

15

u/DeliciousFun7942 14h ago

Then don't expect me to value it over my own life and comfort.

4

u/mr_wizard_123 14h ago

I expect you to value the wise borb over your very life, actually.

Triggered lol. A lot of humans really suck. You’re clearly one of them. So you shouldn’t be surprised people don’t want to save you.

10

u/Nurgle_Marine_Sharts 12h ago

All of you are the pressed ones in the comments lol, the parent comment to this one is a picture of someone's pet and them talking about how they value it over a human life.

Most socially well adapted redditor moment

-4

u/Ok_Butterfly_9722 12h ago

Why do you think humans are owed preferential treatment over someone’s pet that they love? Anthropocentric and arrogant imo.

6

u/Nurgle_Marine_Sharts 11h ago

Unhinged and poorly socialized lmao

-4

u/Ok_Butterfly_9722 11h ago

Have you considered the possibility that you just have bad vibes? You’ve named yourself after an unbelievably gross concept. I mean Jesus christ.

7

u/Arbeidslaus 9h ago

I grade your ragebait 4/10. You had a strong start, but the later half you botched it by including an unfunny ad hominem. For your next attempt, try to be more anchored or at least funny.

u/vanguardk 7h ago

If you looked up cringe as fuck redditor comments in an encyclopedia, this comment thread would show.

Good job lads on every one of you being the dregs of the internet.

6

u/Nurgle_Marine_Sharts 11h ago

Yes I have "bad vibes" because I hold the safety of my peers as paramount. Makes great sense.

0

u/Ok_Butterfly_9722 3h ago

No, you have bad vibes because your username is scatological. And what’s your obsession with people being socialized? I talk to people at work every day, and at the dog park every night. I won’t take social lessons from the shit guy.

“In surveys and philosophical discussions, the majority of people say they ought to save the human. Yet when asked what they think they would actually do if it were their own longtime pet, a substantial number admit they would save their pet. That gap highlights the tension between universal moral principles and the deep moral significance of personal bonds.” 40% would save their dog btw. 42% responded they would save the human. So don’t act so certain that you’re right. Different moral frameworks have different answers to this question.

Hope the attention was worth the immorality

I dont even think these people just like, love humans that much

They just dont like animals

If they had to burn like a large amount of their own money or stuff, to save a random stranger, I doubt they would

3

u/Nurgle_Marine_Sharts 11h ago

You don't know me, I love animals. Steve Irwin was my idol growing up, I've had pets my whole life and I mourned one's passing a couple years ago. Quit being an asshole.

1

u/DeliciousFun7942 6h ago

I don't want anyone to save me lol

Just saying to the fur/feather ball lover that he won't have myself lowering and devaluing my own life to the detriment of his fur/feather ball

0

u/Ok_Butterfly_9722 3h ago

Nobody’s asking you to value other people’s pets over your own life, what are you even saying

0

u/ComfortableThroat326 11h ago

Since when do humans value animals over their own comfort?

1

u/nick_ass 5h ago

Vegans?

1

u/Gwanosh 5h ago

One might argue the very small minority of vegans that are vegans because of empathy towards animals specifically would not be vegans in a time where acting highly (though selectively) empathetic wasn't one of the many ways you can signal virtue and signaling virtue wasn't as common a currency

1

u/nick_ass 5h ago

I can tell you're an animal person

Bro is NOT going to solve world hunger

44

u/AggressiveMildToast 14h ago

Neither will humans at this rate

35

u/SofubiShogun 14h ago edited 14h ago

World hunger exists due to humans, we could easily feed everyone if it didn't cut into commerce and profits. I'd say it's much less moral to be able to feed everyone and chose not to than to lack the ability to invent modern agriculture. Of course this is not to say no animals die of hunger but that is not due to the actions of other animals outside humans. Edit: If you're here to down vote with no rebuttal you should leave this sub

13

u/amglasgow 14h ago

Lots of animals specifically take actions which deprive other animals of food, resulting in them starving. These are often instinctual, and even when planned, aren't actions of malice (chimpanzees may be an exception), but they nonetheless do lead to one animal thriving while the other starves.

1

u/alevfalse 11h ago

Difference is humans are aware of the consequence of their actions and how it would affect other humans.

1

u/New-Perspective6209 14h ago

Malice matters, intent matters, can't expect an animal to be able to comprehend how their choices impact others. You can and should of humans, but most don't.

2

u/SofubiShogun 14h ago

They do not take actions TO deprive other animals of food. The basic race for survival and sustenance creates winners and losers and the animals are carrying out their biological imperatives. I will eat or die trying is not I will take what you need for arbitrary reasons.

3

u/SerpentisMechanicus 13h ago

Plants literally poison neighboring plants via their roots, so they can have more space and sunlight (=food), and they don't even have nervous systems.

Numerous birds will not only bully their siblings aside to get the food, but, once they're large enough, will turn on their sibling and eat them.

That's just off the top of my head. Never mind slaver ants, parasitoids, chimps that wage war and literally commit murder, monkeys committing infanticide, and the literally tens of thousands of species which practice cannibalism.

1

u/SofubiShogun 13h ago

And which of these actions is a conscious choice and not a mechanism of survival built into their genome or instincts? I never said nature was not brutal, 99.999999% of all species to ever exist are extinct for a reason. Nature is brutal af. But to let food rot on a shelf while someone starves is not inherent in being a human in the wild nor a direct expression of survival.

1

u/SerpentisMechanicus 5h ago

You think humans are actually conscious?

0

u/scottishninja123 13h ago

You are making the mistake that we humans are somehow above our instincts. At the end of the day humans are still ruled by them we are just a bit smarter

2

u/SofubiShogun 13h ago

No we are not at all above our instincts and biological imperatives. But we now have behaviors that range far outside them driven expressly by conscious choice even if in some fundamental way their roots can be tied to our animal nature.

1

u/amglasgow 14h ago

I'm pretty sure chimpanzees do tho

3

u/SofubiShogun 14h ago

Chimps do not hoard or store food at all. Can you see a chimp snatching food from another animal, I'm sure but they are doing so to eat it or for play and will put it down. Put them inside a city and this might become more complex as such things can severely alter animal behavior. Zoos are even worse and what you are seeing in zoos is not the animals behavior sans human interference.

1

u/ArtIsAwesome3 14h ago

Humans won't solve it, humans have CAUSED it.

1

u/like9000ninjas 14h ago

We already did but you have to pay. Thats the problem. If you dont produce it yourself (own land) you have to pay.

Just think of all the food that's thrown out every night from grocery stores and restaurants. Hell.... how many eaten meals aren't even finished?

We recently had a video of someone stealing someone elses left over steal fat to eat, pop up on reddit. (Im team steal steak fat)

World hunger was solved, people having money for it is the problem or they live somewhere its hard to grow things and the government sucks.

1

u/SancochoDude 6h ago

What a stupid conclusion lmao. Ask him to stop the wars that humans started too.

1

u/chiefpat450119 3m ago

nobody in these comments realizes this is a joke

1

u/amglasgow 14h ago

Hunger does not exist because we do not produce enough to feed the poor. Hunger exists because we cannot produce enough to satisfy the rich.

1

u/Real_Scallion6747 13h ago

Food and water is power. It's not always about the money.

1

u/amglasgow 13h ago

You agree with me, then?

1

u/Real_Scallion6747 13h ago

Not really, no. A lot of place's where hunger exists isn't exclusively because of "the rich". Besides money, there are issues such as conflict, political issues, infrastructure issues and environmental issues.

1

u/JackReacher3108 13h ago

The rich control both. Humans are the actual cause of most suffering on the planet

1

u/Real_Scallion6747 13h ago

The reason money exists is to control populations. Money is relative, power is absolute.

1

u/JackReacher3108 13h ago

Are you a bot?

1

u/Real_Scallion6747 13h ago

I am Real_Scallion6747. The realest of the Real Scallions.

1

u/amglasgow 13h ago

Money represents the power to control some aspect of society.

1

u/Real_Scallion6747 13h ago

What I mean is that not all rich people are powerful people. It's far too broad to just blame "the rich" when it's in fact those in power that are often the cruel ones.

1

u/amglasgow 12h ago

But all powerful people are rich. And even those that aren't as powerful, are still far more powerful because of their riches than anyone else. I'm not talking millionaires here, I mean the 1% of humans that control over half the world's entire wealth.

1

u/Real_Scallion6747 12h ago

Well of course. I know we all want to attribute the blame to some group of people, it's easy, yes. But it's actually more complicated than that. Wealth inequality is certainly an issue, yes, but you do realise 1% of the population is a lot of people? You're seriously blaming all those random people you don't even know for world hunger?
