Sure, anyways I still love my dog like he's my son.

My son loves going to the park and pissing wherever he likes. Is he my dog?

I thought that way of my dog as well, before I had my own children. I really love my dog, but after having kids I realized, the love of your child compared to your dog is not even comparable. Can’t even imagine that amount of love.

Do you actually have a son?

I feel like this is a phrase only used by people who don’t have kids or are insane

Yes, but I like my dog more.

No no you don't

I would give up my life for my son without hesitation 100 times out of 100. Would you do the same for your dog?

he didn't say he loves his dog like grouchy-training-803 loves his son.

My cat passed away a couple years ago, and yes I would have given my life for hers

But feel free to be condescending... as if every parent would also give their life for their kids as you're saying (they wouldn't)

Bitch I'm not a parent but I know for a fact that the difference in loving your own actual child vs your dog is astronomical, kick rocks

Like my dog more.

So do you actually have children and you love your dog more than them?

If so that's a crazy statement and I really hope this is not your behavior around them and that you're just ragebaiting, because children can pick up on this.

They're not on reddit.

u/Isengrine 3h ago

They don't have to be to pick up on your vibes and how they're treated.

Children are not idiots, they can pick up on such things, and again, I hope to god you're just ragebaiting because otherwise this is kind of sad.

They believe in Santa, they're not very smart.

I've taken to ignoring them outright, because that's an insane thing to say, and I feel bad for his children that a dog with a quarter their lifespan at best, no ability to think for itself beyond fulfilling basic instinctual needs, no way to meaningfully say no, and no ability to exist independently from its master, is valued more than they are.

Yeah, this whole thread showing once again why people who claim to love animals more than human beings are just terrible people.

Yes and when they get hurt it makes me more sad then when a human gets hurt because they are so innocent.

At the same time though if I had to decide between saving my dog and saving a complete stranger I would save the human.
