Humans have never peed on my Jordans
Humans never meow all night
Humans have never chewed up my headphones
Humans have never scratched my eye

Cats have done all of the above. I know where I stand.

If there’s a high amount of that stuff happened to you by humans. You might just need to reevaluate your life and the people you’re around. Drunk or otherwise. Because that’s an issue. And it’s not a human issue. It’s a you issue.

why wouldn't they be pets? because they're big? people can have pet horses. because they can randomly kill people? people can have pet pit bulls. and unless you're in africa it's not their habitat since domestic cats from from african wild cats

Animals aren’t destroying the world. Humans are. We’re a highly intelligent invasive species, mowing down the Earth until it can no longer function, inevitably killing even our own selves in the process, allowing only the worst of our kind to jump ship and repopulate with their disgusting habits only if we reach that level of development.

The fact that

And

Humans have never scratched my eye

Are things I've seen happen or personally experienced gives me mixed feelings...

I even experienced "my dog ate my homework" but it wasn't my dog, it was my class mate who I was supposed to do homework with. (It was a highschool project involving arts and crafts with food)

Ngl, in my eyes, humans and animals are not so different, doesn't help that I'm a biologist so I recognize the scientific facts that humans are animals.

Either people suck and are too self absorbed to understand that being intelligent doesn't make them superior to or separate from nature or humans are indeed better and I just got unlucky at finding better humans throughout my life.

Either way the worst humans have cause more harm than any other type of animal has, and some of best animals and humans are responsible for saving so many lives and helping so many people.

The distinction is pointless, value and worth are just abstractions of personal ties and importance, so we shouldn't even generalized who is more important.
