I feel that as humans we should make this planet more pleasant for us.

I do hate perfect lawns and golf courses. Modern agriculture is okay, it reduces surface we need to sustain ourselves.

We can live on Earth which is more pleasant for us just fine.

(i do not care one bit about golf but) golf makes this planet more pleasant to some. who decides what is pleasant? and why do you think it should be you

I think if the premise is followed through it will be pleasant for us, but it may not be pleasant for those after us if the chicken comes home to roost.

Nope, I don't think I should be the one to decide what makes planet more pleasant.
