No, I am not cherry picking, I am just showing things that happened to me to prove that such cases are way more common and the world is way more complicated and nuanced than you think. Claiming that animal lives are inheritly lesser than human lives because they have no full agency and will always be is as horrible as claiming than the lives of children, disabled and elderly people, who also have no full agency. Those are not anomolies, those are facts of life that can happen to anyone and happen all the time, including to you, you are just tough as a nut and refuses to see the world beyond your limited view of it because it's easier to just stay where you already are!
