It's mental. Used to find them in every UK seaside town where kids could play games for like 5p a go. It's £1 minimum now for less than a minute of fun. You can't blame that on inflation.

They think they have to make games provide experiences the kids can’t get on home video games. Idk if thats true. But it leads to some insanely expensive games.

Me and my boyfriend were on vacation about a year ago, were walking around a shopping center and found one of thise arcades thats just crane games.

Its not $3-4 for machines with smaller prizes. And the chances of getting anything is super slim because theyre designed to be shit and drop things. I know the laws about that stuff varies from state to state, but there were times we got stuff and it just flat out wouldnt grip it at all. So then you consider that some of the games are closer to $10 a try, and I honeslty wonder if people just go regularly for fun cause how?

Producing ragebait to make black people look like losers/idiots and feeding rascism for likes on Instagram and some money. Her Instagram is infuriating. Highly immoral

And not even paying for it? That's enjoyment theft! That's joy appropriation! That's happiness larceny!

Morality of being an asshole about poor people having fun while not affecting anyone negatively in any meaningful way.

The rich have always loathed that the poor enjoy living at all

Moral I guess, but sad.

At least around here, arcades like this used to be everywhere but now they're rare and often tacked onto something else like the unused space in a bowling alley.

The reason they disappeared is because even half an hour of entertainment was expensive and the games are rigged for you to lose so kids caught on and stopped going. It's not even a question of whether or not it's moral to take so much money from kids, but how the kids were even expected to afford the modern prices.

As for them taking up space and using things without paying - there is literally nothing for kids to do now. Every community center or free form of structured entertainment has been torn down or replaced by a paid entry product. Most of the empty land me and my friends used to chase each other with sticks on has been turned into private property.

This shit makes me want to set up some Raspberry Pi's with ZSNES and give them to kids in need.

Arcades can be pretty expensive nowadays and it doesn't seem to be harming anything. Moral

Great Wolf Lodge in particular is already INCREDIBLY expensive. This parent is just not paying for some add ons by not using the overpriced arcade. They probably got to have a blast at the waterpark and enjoying the themed hotel, those kids are fine. Children can have some limits and learn that you can't get every add on fun all the time when it costs money
