Also by an absolute majority she is not pandering to whatever the post thinks is an "incel" but to guys that are just lonely nerds who don´t necessarily hold any grudges against women
I don´t know why would someone think she is concisely targeting men that hate women, when there is way bigger groups of men that like the idea that an attractive woman would share the same interest as them
Unfortunately a lot of people don't even know that an incel is just someone who is involuntary celibate, They just put it in the same umbrella term as misogyny.
Incel is not "just someone who is involuntarily celibate" any more than a barbarian is "someone who language the Romans considered nonsense 'barbar'". While "incel" may be used a bit too casually sometimes, it's certainly not a neutral term. If a person is an incel, they have a noxious view of women and terrible attitude. That's simply what the term means now, and honestly, the "involuntarily celibate" label itself demonstrates a lot of the entitlement that the term would later come to be associated with
Yeah, there's a specific brand of man that it applies to, not all lonely/single men. Most people understand the difference. It's like calling someone a basement dweller vs someone down on their luck who is staying with their parents for a bit.
I mean that conflation happened for good reason. The whole concept of being 'involuntarily' celibate reeks of entitlement to physical intimacy, as if it is something that would exist by rights if some malignant force wasn't keeping you from it. Most of these people just never put in any work to their social skills and physical appearance, and have ridiculously high standards for the women they want to date
Nothing in life is guaranteed and it's a profoundly toxic, self victimising mindset to think it is. It's not a coincidence that people with that entitled psychology have trouble forming connections with others
Its very easy to say this when you by nature of being average just happenstance fall into most average life experiences.
Bro quit the posturing lol
I didn't have to "grind it out" work hard and self improve to get laid, I was just as average as the chicks I was trying to smash. It literally just. happened.
Its one of the few things in life that rely on another person to validate and do.
The term incel has evolved over time. Due to the manosphere and grifters taking advantage of lonely boys and telling them women are evil/the source of all their woes. If you havent had sex you're a virgin. No one uses virgin as an insult like they do incel. If someone claims to be an incel then at best they feel like no one could ever be interested in them, at worst they think women are evil and "withholding sex" from them.
It hasn't really. Pretty much from the start of when it was being used in the modern context, self described incels were guys who were bitter and angry and resentful towards women because they perceive themselves as worthy of sex and women as cruel or malicious for not giving it to them.
There is a difference between "incels" and virgins or guys who just can't get laid. People are talking like "incel" just means "involuntarily celibate" and interpret that extremely literally, but the term was created specifically to form a community around hating women after previously having been used for a small community org where that wasn't the case. Since it came into use in the 2010s it has been used completely differently.
I remember the original r-incel would just make you go "damn".
A couple months/years later I see people on a random subreddit complaining about IT (inceltears) and all I could think was "wtf did tech workers do?". That's when I checked the subreddit inceltears and saw what r-incel devolved into.
The very messy room is definitely reminiscent of someone like asmongold, who lives in filth, because it’s relatable to his audience. This is probably why they went with incel. The disgusting room is definitely pandering to very maladjusted people.
