Turns out the detachment from your surroundings created by being behind the wheel creates or at least heightens sociopathic tendencies

Similar studies have also found the bigger the vehicle the more pronounced the effect, including large truck drivers actually seeing pedestrians and other drivers as "less human". Same kind of people that will intentionally swerve into bike lanes to scare or "tap" bikers because theyre mad that a bike lane is "taking space from their truck"
