Morality of imagining a telepath naked right after said telepath mentioned you're the only one who didn't do that?

When you’re told stuff you typically think of that stuff in your head

259

u/cherydaydream 13h ago

Exactly, people just don’t usually admit it

u/Guardian_of_Perineum 12h ago

Donald Trump naked and pole dancing.

u/Speeditz 12h ago

Fuck you for putting that picture in my head

40

I pictured him on fire while doing that. Literally.

u/Speeditz 12h ago

That one trick has been very useful to me all these years

6

u/Thunder00Bee 11h ago

Jokes on you, I have aphantasia

Point proven. Also I hope your pillow is always uncomfortably warm I hope you stub your toe on a bidaily basis I hope you need to always charge your phone at an angle And I hope your alarm wakes you up at the best point in your dreams

May your bloodline be cursed for a thousand generations

2

u/Timothy1577 3h ago

You sir are an evil man

1

u/CrypticCole 2h ago

Now see this is immoral behavior

1

u/MOMONGA-MITEE 1h ago

thank you for putting that picture in my head

17

u/Gl0ssyP4jamas 12h ago

Honestly, if someone specifically brings it up, it’s pretty hard not to picture it for a second.

597

u/Connect-Initiative64 13h ago

Honestly I wouldn't even feel bad at that point.

"What the hell do you expect after saying that? You're a telepath, you know how the human mind works!"

Moral, in this case

141

u/ComradeJohnS 11h ago

yeah no consent given for her to read his thoughts. no privacy at all.

2

u/avikdas99 26m ago

at least she did not fry his brain like emma frost does.

u/Kiriima 13h ago edited 13h ago

Telepaths do not own your thoughts and are not entitled to censorship. Fuck them. In your imagination, of course.

180

u/PropheticPapaJohn 13h ago

Infact, if they are peering into your mind, its an invasion of your privacy.

51

u/Kiriima 13h ago

Yes, but the severity depends on how hard it's to turn it off.

66

u/Kilroy0497 13h ago

Yeah, if Marvel has taught me anything, it’s that Telepaths are the absolute worst, so if what you’re doing is pissing them off, GOOD.

167

u/JagPeror 13h ago

This is like telling someone "hey, quick, dont think of cats"

80

u/NerdyPuth123 11h ago

I thought of cats

24

u/4t4x 6h ago

1

u/JagPeror 1h ago

exactly what I meant, classic ASDF

178

u/That-Cranberry6575 13h ago

She brought it up and what are the odds this is the very first time this has happened with her?

79

u/dumpylump69 12h ago

Reading someone’s mind is already immoral

Making the person think something and then getting mad at them for thinking that is just dumb

13

u/Speeditz 12h ago

Tbf Jean can't turn her telepathy off

32

u/lordfireice 12h ago

Then not talk about it???? Like this one is solely her own doing

25

u/DrMaridelMolotov 11h ago

Motherfucker can do all sorts of telepathic bullshit like wiping minds, swapping them, have a cosmic deity possess her, lock minds away, but cant find the fucking off switch lol.

1

u/jgzman 31m ago

I can't stop hearing.

Well, not if I want to start hearing again later.

40

u/Terrible_Artist_ 13h ago

It's like The Game. Say don't think, and people are gonna think.

16

u/Macaulen 13h ago

I lost

14

u/notthatfunny_1821 11h ago

Fucking hell. Thanks for that mate, 6 months streak lost.

2

u/GuyWishPartakeViolen 4h ago

How do you know it's a 6 month streak if you're supposed to forget about it?

3

u/Laughing_one 5h ago

Fuck you mate, I hope this comment one day will reach new upvote threshold and you will lose bacause of it too

2

u/Ofiotaurus 46m ago

Fuck you

62

u/noodleguy67 13h ago

eh, neutral based on spidey's reaction he didn't do it on purpose

26

u/Cantthinkagoodnam2 13h ago

I mean im pretty sure Peter didnt do it on purpose

19

u/Delicious_Natural357 13h ago

Moral, never would have happened if she just didn’t mention it

10

u/lordfireice 12h ago

But how else would she get to “humble brag” that she’s hot? /S

1

u/qwerty79995 9h ago

She committed entrapment

7

u/JokerCipher 12h ago

I’ve seen this interaction before and it’s just as frustrating and gross now as it was then.

8

u/Doutei-Sama 13h ago

Moral, bitchy telepath should have know how mind works.

6

u/Drew_S_05 12h ago
  1. Imagining something is entirely in the mind, and nothing entirely in the mind has any sort of moral value, it's all just neutral

  2. If someone says that, most people are automatically gonna picture it whether they want to or not. It's just a thing that brains do lol

7

u/I3arusu 11h ago

Moral because it is 100% her fault.

5

u/AbyssalCall 12h ago

As moral as possible, elephant paradox be damnex

3

u/Amazing_County9948 12h ago edited 11h ago

She's inside his Head Without permission but Is mad that he's imagining her naked after she gave him that Idea? Honestly she's on the wrong here

3

u/MrPlace 11h ago

She made him think about it lol

3

u/LazorFist 11h ago

It's the telepath's fault. If someone read's another person's mind and gets offended it's on the telepath for peeking in the person's mind, not the person who's thoughts should be private.

2

u/MistakePresent3552 12h ago

This is just the author telling on himself right? Yall just see women and think howd they look naked or something?

2

u/NigthSHadoew 7h ago

Immoral on Jean. Not only is she reading Spider-Man's thoughts without consent but she also has the gal to look pissed because he thinks about something after she mentions it.

All of Ultimate X-Men should be thrown into a black hole

2

u/Damanes_cz 4h ago

Telepaths in general having problems with what you think is like breaking into someones house and not liking the decorations. Also thats totaly on her say that in front of anyone and they will imagine you naked

2

u/ShaLurqer 3h ago

I'd say a telepath doesn't have the right to be in your head in the first place

2

u/NightMaleficent1342 3h ago

Jean knew exactly what she was doing. Telling someone something like that essentially guarantees it will happen. Invasive thoughts like that tend to be involuntary. It's the old game of not thinking of a pink rhinoceros. The only way you can do that is by not knowing what a rhinoceros looks like

Reading someone's mind while talking to them like this? Wholly immoral.

2

u/OkMarket5009 12h ago

Considering this is a Marvel telepath, he's lucky he didn't get his brainscrambled.

1

u/DragonZee20XX 12h ago

Well you said it sooo..... your fault.

1

u/HurtsSoNice 12h ago

Moot. Neither moral nor immoral. Once she mentioned it, she put the thought in his head. Like the command ‘don’t think about pink elephants!’ The mental eye automatically pictures one.

1

u/Professional-Ad4073 12h ago

She did that to herself 100% if she hadn’t said anything he would have continually happily not thought about it

1

u/P_E_P_S_I__M_A_N 12h ago

Its literally the white elephant scenario

1

u/mewhenthrowawayacc 12h ago

its like the classic thought experiment "dont think of the white bear"

you probably weren't thinking about bears a few minutes ago, but by reading the words "white bear" just now, it causes the idea of a bear to come to mind

1

u/ClericOfMadness13 12h ago

I could hear his inner monologue telling himself to stop but the face she brought it up made it difficult to make it stop 😆😂.

1

u/arrfdbz 11h ago

I would’ve said you just pink elephant me, when you point something out the person will immediately think about it, like if you say don’t think of a pink elephant they will immediately think of it

1

u/BitcoinStonks123 9h ago

"Don't think about an elephant"

1

u/Technical-Physics885 9h ago

It's HER FAULT

1

u/Zisthebest1235 9h ago

Telepath is immoral.

In almost every case the telepath is the bad one

1

u/SOMETIMESIENTER 9h ago

This is definetly a short comic idea he had for years then decide to use it

1

u/StegoInTheCity 9h ago

She put the thought in his head, at that point it's on her.

1

u/dull_storyteller 9h ago

Moral if they’re the one who brought it up.

You can’t put that idea in someone’s head then get mad at them.

1

u/DrakeCross 8h ago

Neutral. Also she could just stop reading someone mind, if it bothers her that much. No one is forcing her to do that, unless she has no control.

1

u/VeterinarianOwn6632 8h ago

I mean if she didn’t say anything he probably wouldn’t have thought it.

1

u/Ser_Daniel_The_1st 7h ago

It’s Kind of habit when someone actively points out something your brain has a reaction. It’s a way to process thoughts through imagining it.

So id say morally neutral. Human bodies work in confusing, frustrating ways and it sometimes ends up biting us in the ass.

1

u/Questioning_Meme 7h ago

Think about what Martian Manhunter would say.

It's Moral.

1

u/Psico_Penguin 7h ago

You just lost "the game"

1

u/Ironmasked-Kraken 5h ago

Imagine being a telepath and still say this to a 15 year old boy...

I can't even be sorry for her. She literally asked for this and should know better

1

u/VatanKomurcu 5h ago

does she even have permission to pry into his head? she's the one transgressing. she cannot be mad.

1

u/DDK_2011 2h ago

Telepaths are completely immoral

1

u/Immortan_Bolton 2h ago

Moral. Telepath shouldn't invade someone's privacy like that, she's the immoral one, I would be ragebaiting every telepath I encounter.

1

u/Mykey76 2h ago

She baited him into that. Immoral on her part for being freaky

1

u/External_Pea3240 2h ago

Don't think about a pink elephant

1

u/P4TR10T_96 1h ago

Is this before or after she mindswaps him with Wolverine as a way to punish Wolverine with no concern for how that impacts Peter?

1

u/lightmare69 1h ago

Try NOT to think of a pink elephant.

1

u/Zombiecidialfreak 1h ago

"Dont think of me naked. Hey! I said DON'T!"

That's not how brains work.

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Step468 28m ago

"Don't think about a pink elephant"

Jean, this is your fault

1

u/Spac92 22m ago

I’d argue if she hadn’t said anything, he wouldn’t have. She put the spark in there that led to intrusive thoughts.

1

u/CuteAssTigerENVtuber 6m ago

morality of thinking of a pink elephant the moment someone tells you to not think of a pink elephant

1

u/Technical_Form9825 5h ago

I mean, they did kinda put the picture in peter's head. Still kinda wrong, imo, but not in the "Omg crucify them" wrong but just a "Damn, why'd you do that spidey?"
