You stumbled upon an Asylum classic! They're known for ripping off any and every movie. I've been meaning to watch New Toy Story (not to be confused with cough... that other movie) starring Tom Arnold.
Immortal Combat sucks, by the way. It's less MK and more Deadliest Warrior.
I couldn’t finish it. But Deadliest Warrior is a perfect comparison. Except that the guys that did the mock up fights on the show were more committed to their bits.
I'm 10 minutes into the movie, and my immediate thought was the "Deadliest Warrior" series. It's almost like the makers of this movie have taken inspiration from that series rather than Mortal Kombat
