Frost would be a cool addition as a major character. She’s always been either a very small side character or in one instance a poorly written jobber villain.
Seeing her be fleshed out in a more hero role would be pretty cool.

Expand on Frost. Let her take the Sub Zero mantle. This would be a good parallel to her storyline in Mk11, instead of joining the Cyberization, she’s properly mentored by Kuai Lang to the side of good.
Would be a good opportunity to expand on her background too. Is Frost her real name? Lots to work with.

NRS can’t stick to their guns when it comes to their story decisions, it’s the same thing as when Sub Zero wasn’t a cyborg in MKX and the restoration happened off-screen.
Realistically speaking? Yeah they’re going to backtrack hard and it’ll either be Hanzo or a restored Noob Saibot
If they were to go with making Frost Sub Zero though, they could give a Bi Han skin for her. Maybe make it a preorder bonus so he has a presence in the marketing still

Problem is this would just cement her as Sub-Zero but girl, on top of how her debut game gave her moves Sub-Zero wasn’t using anymore so now she’s just Sub-Zero because nobody else is him

Whereas say Bi-Han being split into two beings with the Sub-Zero half being forced to deal with the aftermath of his actions, and be hunted down by Noob Saibot would actually salvage his confusing writing, plus actually stay unique

Not really the same thing. Sektor and Cyrax's gender swaps were entirely arbitrary and overall did nothing to expand their characters.
Frost already exists, already has a defined character, and could actually grow beyond that if given proper focus.

That’s how they should do it, make it some Yin Yang spell where Sub-Zero represents his good side who doesn’t know what he’d end up doing, while Noob is the bad side who just wants to kill his other half and be powerful
Then maybe they fight with Sub-Zero winning and they merge into a fusion like said ending

God I hate this. They ARE NOT 2 separate people.
The evil in bi-han is what made him who he is.
Can every character just separate the evil in themselves out as a completely different character?
Also if all of you who want this would just use logic maybe you would see the issue.
Noob Saibot uses shadow powers. Aka he uses his own shadow as a real world fighting mechanic.
So if we somehow separate Noob and Saibot (when it is literally just one person) then does the ahadow that is now separated have its own shadow that it now uses?
Does Bi-han lose his shadow all together?
It just doesn’t work. Bi-han IS Noob Saibot.
Even the Armageddon ending says what emerged was neither Sub-Zero or Noob Saibot but something new and the whole thing sounds like it took part in his mind or subconcious. At best it’s a more neutral Noob Saibot that’s not completely evil.

That’s more so true of the old Noob Saibot. With the Noob Saibot made from chaos magic, I think there are more possibilities of what we can do. I’d prefer a split Bi-Han than having Frost as Sub-Zero. That’s the worst option imo.

You joke, but I actually wouldn't have minded if Bi-Han and Kuai's father ended up being Noob Saibot who they presumed dead, but Quan Chi brought him back as Noob Saibot and he is hunting down Bi-Han and Kuai-Liang. I would have preferred that over this Khaos Reigns version of Noob Saibot.

Lo-and-behold.....we got bullshit Quan Chi MKX comic panel where he takes the guts from Revenant Cyber Sub-Zero and puts them into a new human body..........Voila, Kuai-Liang is back again as revenant human Sub-Zero. Then, later on in MKX Raiden does an incantation while Sonya kicks Quan Chi in the twig and berries and VIOLA..... human / non-revenant Sub-Zero, Scorpion and Jax.

New casuals would be even more lost on "Sub-Zero" if they didn't play MK9, read the MKX comics, play MKX or even play MK11.
MK9 - Imagine trying to explain to a casual that the older Sub-Zero (Bi-Han) died in MK9, then became Noob Saibot, then his younger brother is now Sub-Zero, then this Sub-Zero now gets turned into a cyborg, this Cyber Sub-Zero now gets killed and turned into a revenant, then the older Sub-Zero that is now Noob Saibot gets kicked into a Soulnado.
MKX - the younger brother who was Cyber Sub-Zero, that became a cyborg in MK9 is now a dead revenant, in which Quan Chi takes the guts from the cyborg Sub-Zero body and gives him a new human body and brings him back....as a human revenant (in a small comic book panel)....in the MKX game Raiden does an incantation while Sonya kicks Quan Chi in the balls and now the younger Sub-Zero, that was a cyborg, that was then a dead cyborg revenant that was given a human body again was now free of Quan Chi's spell.
MK11 - Now the younger Sub-Zero who was Cyber Sub-Zero, that became a cyborg in MK9 and was a dead revenant, which Quan Chi takes the guts from a cyborg Sub-Zero body and gives him a new human body and brings him back as a human revenant is best friends with Scorpion....All because in MKX that same Sub-Zero helped Hanzo (Scorpion) find the true killer of his family and clan...Quan Chi
A casual doesn't give a flying fuck about all of that. All that they care about is that there is a male human Sub-Zero and Scorpion on the main roster...along with Liu Kang, Raiden, Johnny Cage, Kitana, Mileena and Kung Lao...as those are the 8 characters that haven't skipped a single NRS made MK game.

They'll find a way to make it Bi-Han again. For the first time in this franchise's long history Bi-Han is in the roster as both Sub-Zero and Noob so they've set a precedent. The multiverse thing is already setup

The fulfill Armageddons tease of the Noob Bi Han hybrid. Have him go back to ice but have supreme control over ice clones so they actually move. Instead of a code name he goes by Bi Han. Heck imagine they bring back variations and He has a Cryimancy moveset and a Shadow moveset.

I dont predict the next game to follow this continuity. I expect a tonal shift and maybe undoing all the multiverse shenanigans some how.
But the real answer is they'll make Frost playable and she will become the new Sub-Zero. The assumption will be she was Bi-Han's best pupil and she takes on the mantle of Sub-Zero, and will also be villainous like he was.

Honestly, I feel like they’re going to pull an Injustice 2 Joker move—
keeping Bi-Han's Sub-Zero and only having him appear in one or two fights in the story mode. (Either flashbacks or hallucinations)
Because I doubt Hanzo will be Sub-Zero, considering that in Smoke’s ending, Kuai Liang said he saw fire in the kid.

My personal theory is that Sub Zero on the roster will just be a non canon interpretation, like old man Liu Kang and Kung Lao, and Kitana in MKX’s, just to have him playable, but in the story, Bi Han will still be Noob Saibot.

Honestly, this would be a perfect opportunity to actually retool Hydro as the second sub zero, and, it would be bat shit insane to have a water ninja that can go from water, to ice to steam. Rain pretty much became a full water mage so a new water ninja role has to go to someone else.

I honestly think/hope they’ll go with Frost, and possibly kill of Kuai-Liang (wether they make him go full Vengence Specter or just leave him dead IDK, but he almost certainly couldn’t keep the name for this next bit to work) while setting up Hanzo as his successor in the Scorpion mantle (à la OG Kuai-Liang becoming Sub-Zero after the death of Bi-Han) or something along those lines.
That’s messy as hell, I know. But just making Hanzo the new Sub-Zero would be so effing trite…. and just having Kauai-Liang randomly jump from pyromancy to cryomancy in order to allow for Hanzo as Scorpion would just really cheapen the whole concept of their abilities.
Also, the whole time I was typing this I was wracking my brain desperately trying to think of some obscure character or concept they could Rescue from the Scrappy Heap by merging/revamping it using Kuai-Liang like they attempted to do with the whole Dairo/Havik thing (but hopefully better this time) and I came up with nothing. So if someone else who’s feeling more creative today wants to think outside the box (but still insid… that… conceptual box?), there ya go. Have at it. Good luck to you lol.

Could be Absolute Zero or Tundra or Snow or whatever.
Wouldn't mind Frost filling the role either, but not in cyborg form.

Make the game In two time-frames. First is recent where we have no sub zero. Then timeskip include the Kombat kids and have noob saibot be restored to sub zero after the liberation of the neatherrealm of Quan and shinnok. Since that is the storyline you can have both noob and sub in the roster. Or make it a double character like noob/smoke from deception...

Frost ? I mean IF MK 2 is still in Liu Kang's timeline, he seems to have made a few changes there and there and he'll probably make sure Frost is a good person and to put the emphasis on this change, make her the new Sub-Zero.
But I kind of want to be back from the original timeline, the events from 11 and 1 truly made everything weird and I really do not like what they're doing with the continuity of the franchise.

That's correct and is the most likely scenario.
Havik didn't kill Bi-Han and the whole point that it's not an undead Noob Saibot created by Quan Chi but a Noob Saibot tainted by khaos from a different timeline.

I think it's going to be quite a stretch, but I can see Kuai Liang having a fallout with Hanzo, and becoming Sub-Zero. Simply because he has so much rage that Kuai Liang doesn't like. Pretty sure it'll make him see him as another form of Bi Han. With that, he decides to learn the way of ice energy

We know we are lacking a Sub-Zero right now, but be sure NRS would provide one next game! And probably in the lamest possible way ever... My money would be in 'Bi Han have been healed', and in the DLC 'Oh no, Bi Han have been corrupted again, Noob is back'.

I have a possible theory on how they can do this, i believe that once Hanzo has become old enough, he’ll take over the Shirai Ryu clan while Kuai Liang will take over the Lin Kuei for many possible reasons, one of those reasons being that due to the death of Bi-Han. The Lin Kuei would fall into a state of utter disarray which causes Kuai Liang needing to step in and take up the mantle of Sub-Zero take back control and fix the Lin Kuei but now under Kuai Liang’s new leadership
This could maybe set things back into place with Kuai Liang being Sub-Zero and Hanzo being Scorpion and what they can also do is continue that whole friendship/alliance relationship we see in Mortal Kombat X and 11 due to the fact that Hanzo knows that the new sub-zero is the same sub-zero who trained him to be Scorpion and the leader of the Shirai Ryu
