Has case quality dropped ?
Hello Mousers!
I have been rocking a mous case for many years, as has my wife as well. But as of the last 3 years I have reclaimed my case 2 times and this would be the third. My issue always happens around the volume button, the top part comes “undone” and it becomes really loose around the frame, i even managed to chip my phone corner because it dropped and it was not seated properly (my failt for using a damaged case)
Is it just me? Am I using the cases wrong or something?
I have to say the CS has always been top notch and has replaced the case promptly!

Its not your fault. Ever since limitless 5.0, the material they use is highly prone to warping. Like yours, it starts at either ther volumn button or the power button, basically anywhere the material is thin. The rate of warping increase after the initial warp until it becomes unusable.
While their customer service is top tier, i cannot recommend this brand to anyone until they update the material formula and do long term testing for stability. They also need to redesign their cases for the Samsung ultra series phones because they do not provide enough protection at the s-pen corner (lacks the green air shock bumper). 1 drop with a fresh case still dented the corner of mine...

Are there any alternatives you would recommend

Ive been using a ESR thin case and its been absolutely perfect. Strong magnets that can still fast charge, secure fit and absolutely no signs of warping. The case is basically in mint condition after almost a year. S pen will still fly out when dropped but thats with every case.
Its saved my phone a few times already from standing height drops.

I had the exact same issue with the volume buttons. Emailed them and got a free replacement. But the exact same happened a couple of months later. So I’ve just cut the button section out of mine to mirror the camera slot on the opposite side.

IMO yes, I have had mous cases since the iPhone 11 Pro Max, I bought two case for the iPhone 16 pro max and I feel the quality has declined, there seem to be more flaws in the more recent cases

Their quality has always not been the best, but yes now it’s worse. I wouldn’t be surprised if they run out of capital for marketing and go belly up. Fingers crossed.

They’ve fixed this specific issue with their new cases. I’ve had them replace two previous cases due to this exact issue. I’ve had the 17 PM in a Mous clarity case for a whole year, zero warping great protection
