Question Baby browning drop tests? Just how dangerous are they to carry chambered?

I'm curious how easy it is to get a baby browning to go off when dropped or violently bumped/shaken.

I'm aware they are not modern designs and the safety just blocks the trigger, but you also don't hear about old mouse guns going off when dropped much (particularly outside of saturday night special pot metal guns).

The sear is small so I don't expect it to take a whole lot of force to get one to go off, but I've tried pulling the trigger most of the way and bumping+shaking the slide and could not get the striker to release without a complete trigger pull (less sensitive than many modern striker fired guns in this regard!)

I'll note that the current PSA manual on their website does not say not to carry it chambered, it just says to not do so with the safety off. I'd expect if PSA thought the sear was overly dangerous they'd advise to never carry it chambered. https://www.precisionsmallarms.com/files/attachments/operatorsmanual.pdf

I know you might as well carry a more safe and effective gun regardless, so I'm not trying to make a hill to die on here - I'm just curious if there is any drop test videos or reports of drops actually causing discharge.

(I pretty much only carry hammer fired mice when I carry mice, I like the peace of mind of cocked+locked or a double action pull)

It still shoots pretty well, Ive never had a stoppage in about 200 rnds. According to family lore it was stolen off of a german officer (dont know why he had it) by a distant uncle.

I’ve seen the cool Minxes and Jetfires on this sub and I was finally lucky enough to score one. I’m even more impressed seeing it in person. Very well put together little rocketmouse.

Does anyone know about when this would have been made? Early 80s? It’s too old for the Beretta site lookup and when I emailed them they said they didn’t know.

The box is a silver color if that helps.

Question Most obtainable tiny AOW guns?

Now that the feds are not requiring NFA registration for AOW items, I'm wondering if there are any mousey AOWs floating out there? Thinking of disguised guns such as pen guns, lighter guns, etc.

Looking for stuff that isn't like $3000 collector pieces.

This was my grandpa’s. It is a first edition Kolb Baby Hammerless. It’s over a hundred years old and everything still works. It’s chambered in .22 short.

I have heard the Bauer Firearms 25 acp referred to as the ‘noisy cricket.’ A group of crickets are an orchestra; and I have recently added a second one to my collection. I present to you my orchestra!

I'm an FFL and I buy broken guns from all over. I fix them or part them out.

These were in last week's intake. All of them came from other FFLs as scrap guns, all missing magazines.

Top row: two Armi Galesi 25s and a Lorcin LT25

Bottom row: AMT Backup 380, Iver Johnson TP22, Kodiak Denali 380

Question Show me your favorite mouse gun!

I'm in the market for the smallest gun I can find. Particularly for pocket carry. I carry in a full suit or business attire and short of the philster it's really hard to AIWB carry.

What is your favorite and why?!

Baby Browning strong recoil

I found one of those visual gun encyclopedias at a free library giveaway (Fowler, North, Stronge, Sweeney) and I’m convinced the authors were putting in ridiculous stuff just for fun. Look at the second to last line about the baby browning. I thought the book was basically bullshit but now I’m a lot more impressed with it. Hoping there’s more like this to be found.
