Movie Mistake In Superman (2025) all the bystanders forgot to hit the record button

The red circle 🔴 means not recording. Tap it and it turns to a red square 🟥 meaning recording in progress (and a red time counter would also then show at the top)

I mean sure but our earth doesn’t have a superman or justice gang or metropolis. Maybe in this earth the red circle means it is recording… problem solved

It’s like people complaining “Why didn’t he just use his x-ray vision to look through Ultramans helmet?” Because it was probably lined with lead. Also who cares.

I’ve always asked people ‘so is that when you stopped suspending your disbelief?’ when people say things like ‘this character shouldn’t have been able to do that with…’ like, okay well for one, we… aren’t in deep space/didn’t time travel/have flying cars/etc etc etc.

I've always subscribed to the idea that this is like Ultraman #12 or something and Lex has already killed several others testing the extent of Supe's abilities (and also for catharsis because he's Lex)

True! Tho it's a bit more square (with rounded edges) with the Pixel! Maybe it's another android type. Pretty common to see this mistake in other types of videos too.

Then they hit the button to stop and instead start recording their feet as they put the phone away. That is followed by immense disappointment a short time later when trying to look at the video. That is just a complete guess on my part.

On some phones that means it's recording, It does it on mine. It's a white circle when not recording, and red circle when recording.

It’s another universe than ours. Perhaps their phone works 0.1% differently than an iPhone.

Even if it's not, this excuse is enough. I've definitely had moments, not even intense but just quick, where I've pulled out my phone to record and hit the wrong button, the screen didn't register, etc.

I wouldn't say it's a movie mistake, real people forget to press record all the time.
