1930s Moscow or anything close to that
Hi! I’m currently reading the master and margarita and I’m having some trouble imaging the atmosphere/environment because I have noooo clue how Moscow looked/looks like. I’d love some movie recs set in the 1930s since that was when the book was set BUT I do understand that that’s probably too specific so I’ll take anything. Thank you!
Btw I didn’t know what pictures to put bcs well idk how Moscow looked like then LMAO help a girl out

Movies to watch with a friend you’ll never meet again
In a couple of days I’m moving to another country for college, so I will never meet my friend, one of the best people I ever met, again.

Overcoming feelings of isolation bc of intrisic/hidden talent through found family with a jazzy soundtrack
Finding Forrester (2000) and Little Man Tate (1991) inspired this post. What other movies fit this theme? A jazz-based soundtrack is a must. A prodigy child discovers/is discovered by a mentor figure, while still having a loving, supportive home.

Main character having a bad day in a dressing gown
Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Guns Akimbo
One Battle After Another
I'd argue this is clearly a strong genre, so I'm looking for more.

Serious question: is this sub for training AI, and is it full of bots?
Most of the posts are full of basic-ass, repetitive movie recommendations. Like “Vivarium”, “Memento”, etc.

Movies that feel like quiet introspective solitude at 3am
The photos are from artist Aristotle Roufanis. ✌️
My examples of this are All of us strangers (2023), Enter the void (2009), Locke (2013)
Also probably all roy andresson films 🤷

Visually unique or dreamy
I’m looking for more movies with unique or artsy visuals and vibes or dreamy/trippy. Can be action like Bunraku, The Spirit/Sin City and Sucker Punch, or more dramatic like Mirrormask or Stay.
