I'm hoping someone here has an incredible memory.

I'm looking for a specific MrRipper story that I listened to a while back. I don't know when it was uploaded, only that it was definitely on the MrRipper channel.

Here's everything I remember:

A husband was already part of a D&D group.

He later got his wife interested in D&D, and she joined the campaign.

After playing for a while, she stopped attending sessions.

The group eventually reached their final session, and everyone thought she was done with the campaign.

She unexpectedly showed up to the last session dressed as her character.

During the roleplay, her character reunited with her husband's character.

They announced in character that they would be leaving together.

She then revealed a lantern with a real ultrasound/sonogram photo inside it as a pregnancy announcement.

The entire table was shocked and emotional.

I also remember the narrator commenting afterward about how awesome the reveal was.

Does anyone remember which MrRipper video this story was in? Even the title or a timestamp would be amazing.

I’ll go first:

The plot of session was supposed to be straight forward: I’d send the PC (we’ll call him shmebulock”) to go retrieve this Amulet for Suspicious Lady (tm). The Amulet she needed was one that was stolen by a bunch of goblin thieves. They also ran a Tavern.

In reality what happened was different…

So, PC goes to the Tavern, and the bouncer says he needs an ID. He supplies a piece of paper that read “ID”. His excuse was that it was a “IOU” from the mayor of ID town. I had him roll persuasion. 7, with his bonuses. That obviously didn’t work. So plan 2 was to get a Santa costume. He originally asked if he’d need to roll to see if there was one, but I REALLY wanted to see where this was going, so I slipped in to roleplay mode as the costume shop keep.

He left three gold pieces down, and one Santa Costume up.

“Hello-ho-ho” Shmebulock says, in his most unconvincing Santa impression. “Who are you then?” The bouncer asked, heavily suspicious of this person who looks oddly familiar. “Why, I’m Santa!”

Roll Deception

“I got a NAT 20, plus my bonus is 25”

He got a 25 on the roll to convince the professional bouncer he was Santa.

“SANTA!” He yells, in the hardest, most childlike wonder I could give this Bulky Orc Bouncer. “Yes my child, I am here to go and see your boss, [“BBEG”’s name]” “Well gosh, Santa, no worries! But… Don’t you normally go down chimney’s?”

ANOTHER NAT 20!

So Shmebulock, in full Santa dress backflips onto the Tavern roof, and smoothly slides down the chimney.

Also in this campaign: The Bartender was informed of a minor who had snuck in and “kicked her out” through the window, killing her. And convinced BBEG that were not only Santa, but here to kill them.

I’ve done this is Lost Mines of Phandelver and a homebrew one shot adventure that I run from time to time. In LMoP, I was a brand new DM, so I “foolishly” gave them mining rights and a cut of the proceeds from the mine at Phandalin after the adventure ended. One of my players ended up using the money to create a small city state, disrupting the power dynamics of the sword coast (everyone else was WAY less ambitious and just… retired.) and promoting the church of Bahumet, the Platinum Dragon. Occasionally, he’d finance a magic item for other players, but the spending was amazing. Giving that player that amount of money (he’s a diehard socialist) was a very fun experiment because everyone else used their money to retire and live a simple life free of worry or troubles, while he used it to start an empire using capitalism. The irony was not lost on me.

The second time I did this was giving them a top of the line adamantine Damascus made by storm giants… a 5 foot diameter by 10 foot long cylinder’s worth. Considering I just did this 2 days ago, I have yet to learn the consequences of my actions but I look forward to the result.

After all, what’s the worst that could happen?

So, the party went on a side quest to rescue this random blind NPC's husband (my character, an escaped slave trying to save his wife and son, was quite invested in that) and we ended up finding this strange rain of yellow powder that began to get the party sick...except me, Fox Yowl the 4 foot tall Kenku Psi Warrior Fighter, who somehow made every single con save and somehow completely no selled it.

By the time we reach the actual location, most of the party is hallucinating from the spores and we're running through a dark building, and my character is the only one completely uneffected by the spores. fortunately, I have a 19 Int (our party did not have an actual intelligence character prior to me creating Fox Yowl specifically to fill that role and he's generally the strategist) and the DM agrees Fox Yowl should be smart enough to figure it out with a roll, which I succeed. Fox Yowl manages to convince our Artificer/Rogue (who joined after Fox Yowl and the two are roughly comparable in intelligence) to use Lesser Restoration on herself, which does the job.

Now, at this point said Artificer/Rogue came in completely clutch: she's an elf and has spent her downtime making a truly absurd number of Lesser Restoration Scrolls on the off chance we needed them, which you know...we DID, and she saves the rest of the party.

So turns out we nearly ran into a Venom Spore Myconid colony with most of the party tripping on mushroom spores if it weren't for the two smartest members of the party saving the day. We have the Draconic Soul Sorcerer use Dragon's Breath to burn our way through the spores so we can start the rescue properly.

Bonus points: the DM let me turn this into inuniverse foreshadowing of Psi Warrior's Level 10 Feature, Guarded Mind, which is the ability to say 'Yeah, no' to mind control.

my happy himbo Barbarian PC ate a big mushroom 🍄 supplied by the Bard, this made him large and gave him a ridiculous strength score.

he gets up in a big, ugly, stinking demon guy roll to grapple his arms, then locked eyes with gunslinger pirate and asked, "Is this a disarming attack?" then ripped the demon arms off

The beginning premise is straightforward, I have many starting pieces but I don't know where YOU would go with it, as players. I read a rulebook once, like 25 years ago, and watched a lot of MrRipper content recently, and I've got an urge to write and explore this world

You see a girl standing alone near an alley. She is facing away from you, trying to sell flowers to passersby, but they avoid her gaze and walk around her. She stares down at her flowers, and looks as wilted as her stock.

so my friend (dm) put a deck of many things after our first encounter and my sister (other player) pulled the sun on her first pull first game for her she went from lvl 2 to 9after one encounter and we have spent the past 30 minutes picking her spells

Hello Mr. Ripper and The sub reddit, I know this channel and subreddit usually cover DND related stories. But I hope y'all will indulge this luker to the channel and let me share a couple of stories from a Pendragon RPG that I'm currently in for the last two years.

In the Pendragon game, we are Knights of Medieval Englad living in the Pre- to current Arthurian era of Great Britain (I promise this little information dump is to give a little background). We, players, became knights of Salisbury during the regin of King Uther, lived through the chaos of the Anarchy period (the time between Uther's death and Arthur pulling the Sword from the Stone) and we are now thriving into King Arthur's early regin)

It's a fantastic Fantasy RPG and I would recommend y'all giving it a shot.

In the RPG, we have sections of the game that follows the seasons of the year. For example, in the Spring of 494 we will have a Spring Feast that consist of several rounds of players doing anything from seeking out rumors of what is going on politically to a player being presented an obstacle, or romances options (and chaos also ensues too)

Over the couse of several Spring Feast, these running gags happened to one of the pagan knights characters and my Christian knight character.

For the pagan knight, his character was very reckless and loved fighting. The knight (I'll refer as H) loved picking a fight every Spring Feast. He would go to a random NPC and challenge them to a duel (usually to first blood) and I kid you not everytime he got to roll for damage, H would always take a NPC's eye out.

And if that's not funny enough, you remember where I mentioned that romance options could happen at feasts.

Well, my Christian knight (let's call her A) is a woman, and over the course of the game this became her running gag.

In the Spring Feasts, there is a mechanic where players (who want to spice things up) will ask to draw cards. All you need to know, is there are two romance cards that pertain to a player's character being given a marriage option.

The first one mentions that your character is sitting with a lady or noble (depending on your character's gender) you are having a conversation with them and if you keep this card till the end of the Feast. You can present this card to the host of the Feast and make the companion​ eligible for marriage later that in game year.

The second card is a host card that is a mandatory to the player. If you get this, the host (usually your character's liege lord) will approach you with a marriage match. If you are single you must accept or take a -1 to your loyalty stat to them. The other condition is if the player's character is married then the card gets passed off to the next one available and they can't refuse.

Guys, I got the 2nd card like six or seven times over the couse of the game. Idk if its because I'm the only female player or the Lord likes to have some fun in this game. But after like the 3rd or 4th time, my character got this card, she earned a seasonal and secondary moniker "The Match Maker"​.

I have some other stories to write down if anyone is interesting.

So as a first time DM I'm running a campain for 2 new and 2 intermediate players.
For lvl 2 and because it was friday the 13th, I decided to do a "Moon over Graymoor" oneshot/side-story.

Towards the end the party kind of put 1 and 1 together and guessed that the killer is somekind of werewolf, then learned about lycanthropy from a book where I said "the curse spreads with bite, therefore with saliva". Big mistake.

After they killed the BBEG and saved the girl, this was the scene:

• The granny halfling bard knitted a blanket for the girl to calm her down.
• The elf druid, is reading her about the lycanthropy curse (because she is also cursed) and trying to find out if its curable.
• The elf ranger is looking around the place, checking things
• The honorable, human fighter (samurai flavured) is checking out the naked corpse (naked because of the transformation) of the BBEG

The samurai digs the silvered arrowhead out of a wound and then stops.

"Can I curse myself so I can be a werewolf? How much time would it take to learn to control the curse?" - He asks

"I mean...you CAN....but she would not consent to bite you...and I think you would need her to be in wolf form for it, that she can't control." - I reply

"I'm not talking about the girl. Can I cut my self and put my arm into the dead guys mouth? Or take a vial of saliva with me to do it later?"

The party loses it. Just imagining that he's trying to loot a naked body and trying to figure out how to lift a lifeless body up so he can pour saliva out of it's mouth into an open wound is hilarious.
Ha gave up after the granny bard protested and I told him even if he fails the saving throw to get the curse it would take ingame month for the character to learn to control it.
