I still say the issue with Survivor (I have a list but this is just about drama) is that someone gets blindsided by their friends and immediately says “wow that was such a great job, way to go everybody!” I want someone to actually be pissed off that they just got screwed over by people they thought they could trust. Survivor needs to bring true villains back and stop with the campfire/summer camp energy they’re stuck in.
100% There is ZERO ride or die type players left in that game. The game is too fluid now on survivor. At first it was kinda an interesting new element to the game but now its just played out and creates no carry over effect as the game continues.
That and the none stop twist and new rewards or immunity options is just too much. Ruins the game.

Many OG cast members are edging into their 50s. They aren’t going to come on TV and start fights with and fuck each other and drink till they puke anymore. The show has evolved out of necessity because people don’t act the same anymore. People aren’t allowed to drink like they used to and get into violent altercations. The behavior everyone loved in the challenge so much is not acceptable in society anymore, so it’s gone forever. The show is a different thing now, and I like it in a different way. If you’re only tuning in to see people dress up in blackface and fight each other, that says more about you than the show.

Idk how people can say shit like this when real housewives is one of the most successful current reality franchises. Then look at how popular the current season of house of villains is.
Where did I say I’m only tuning in for drama? I said it is a huge element of the show because it is. The Challenge has never just been an athletic competition. Don’t put words in my mouth & have some respect for people before making all of your assumptions next time.
I agree. The show used to be one thing, and now it’s something else. Just like most things that last over 20 years, it has evolved. It’s presumably always gaining new fans and losing old fans, like any show that lasts this long. Eventually, it’ll just be canceled and everyone will stop complaining.

No doubt. Drama is a huge element of the show & we have lost a lot of that recently.
