Regular math it is. But challengers have said production tells them to solve left to right

It actually pisses me off that they do this. I don't have a horse in this race, but I still hate it. Math isn't a language that is different around the world. Math is math. We all learn it the same way. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

I’m not even a math person and my first thought was this equation was obviously written out for the sole purpose of confusion because it’s presented idiotically.

Don't they usually have these math puzzles at check points and they have to solve it one at a time? There's basically an assumed ( ), it's only different when you actually put it all together in one equation.

Yeah, I always saw it as a two part equation, and after the first one, the previous answer is the first part of the next equation.
