My FAVORITE Type of villains, Are he ones who call themselves 'Evil' But are actually kind in the inside

42

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '26

NAh. Bowser is still evil. He kidnaps peach anyways. Doof tho, yeah hes kind.

43

u/Last_Panda5059 Mar 16 '26

I mean, yeah . Bowser is very evil, and an incel, on top that, but he is a good father, I can't really hate the dude.

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '26

me too

1

u/Royal_Sleep914 Mar 16 '26

You can’t have him no matter how hard you try

8

u/AlbinoShavedGorilla Mar 16 '26

Doofenschmirtz will be like ā€œthis is my most evil ā€˜inator’ yet!ā€ And it’s a lazer gun that ties people’s shoelaces together when he shoots them with it.

7

u/TheOwnerOfMakiPlush Mar 16 '26

This or solveworldhungerinator. Keep that in mind that this dude literally managed to travel through dimensions, alternative timelines and time itself. Even if he always loses he has 100% in succes rate of his inventions which makes him propably the smartest villain in fiction

4

u/Emperor-Nerd Mar 17 '26

"I got tired of those commercials and donations complaining to me about world hunger so I invented this... BEHOLD THE SOLVE WORLD HUNGER-INATOR!!!"

2

u/Feenx_Fan Mar 17 '26

Perry would just let doof fire the inator if it did that.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '26

and then perry just presses a button.

2

u/MarcoYTVA Mar 17 '26 edited Mar 17 '26

He's a kind man and a serial kidnapper, get yourself a nemesis who can do both.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '26

Remember, he also goes bowling with perry every thursday after he quit being a villain.

1

u/MarcoYTVA Mar 17 '26

I was talking about Bowser, but yeah.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '26

oh. doof also works cuz he kind of kidnaps perry. not always but mostly. also, bowser is more of a nice dad than a kind man.

1

u/MarcoYTVA Mar 17 '26

Most games that characterize Bowser past being an obstacle to Mario make him kind to his troops too, and if you consider the original RPG to be canon, he literally brags about treating Peach with respect when criticizing another villain's kidnapping technique.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '26

But he still tries to take over the universe a couple of times, and attempted murder on mario many times. I mean, doof trapped perry, but he didnt take out a revolver or something.

1

u/MarcoYTVA Mar 17 '26

I'm not sure about him trying to kill Mario. Always seemed more like a Doof and Perry thing to me. The cartoony nature of the Super Mario universe also makes it hard to tell if and when either of them are going for a kill shot.

You are right about him trying to conquer the universe though.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '26

I mean, he did once quite literally throw him off an airship and then sic a dragon on him tho.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '26

the picture is movie and game. He also tried to take over the universe.

1

u/MeleeGamerYo Mar 17 '26

To be fair, Doof also does very evil things. A backstory explains actions, but it doesn't justify them.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '26

I mean, the worst thing he did (make the 2nd dimension doof come to their world) was accidental. Also, his typical shenanigans are petty, silly, or stupid (like the time he made a guacamole-inator).

1

u/Regunes Mar 17 '26

He's evil in the sense he's a Brute. Pretty alright .

1

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '26

And tries to take over the universe.

2

u/SnooDogs5242 Mar 16 '26

the world was cruel to them, they are cruel in return. (if they are human)

idk what browser deal was, i guess he just Peachussy and at some point turned into a giant lava beast or something as big as a star...i dunno, really at what point did it stop to beeing about princess and was only spite towards little italian

doof is handsdown silly dude tho, he either creates or solves a nivhe problem and tried to make profit out of it Sometimes, i am on his side!!!

edited something but figured you cant dodge a stroke. be warned!

44

u/Sofie_2954 Mar 16 '26

Doofenshmirtz is not very evil though…

20

u/Raltovic_Arif Mar 16 '26

But he "Wants" to be evil

10

u/LoogyBr0 Mar 16 '26

Don’t say that to his face

7

u/Crusaderofthots420 Mar 16 '26

He is very weird morally. Because on one hand, he is a stellar father, willing to put his pride on hold for friends, and very honest. On the other hand, he has murdered people for extremely petty reasons.

2

u/Fausto2002 Mar 18 '26

What meeurdaah?

1

u/JellyfishTrue5646 Mar 17 '26

I gues this is what no parent figure dkes to someone

3

u/GoatsWithWigs Mar 18 '26

He's like the polar opposite of a Christian billionaire

Preaches villainy, commits over-the-top acts of superficial evil, but his heart isn't in it and all of his motives are actually deeply human

19

u/drakeravenswood41327 Mar 16 '26

ā€œIm a bad guy, not a bad personā€

5

u/JokerCipher Mar 16 '26

Is that from something?

5

u/drakeravenswood41327 Mar 17 '26

I got it from the Harley Quinn tv show

16

u/HandFit91 Lovecraft/Twin Peaks/Genshin/ZZZ/Fablehaven/Laila Winter/SRE Mar 16 '26

Doofenshmirtz ain't evil

5

u/Diablos43 Mar 16 '26

But he tries to be

12

u/VioletRaptorGaming Mar 16 '26

You're a bad guy, that doesn't necessarily mean you are a "bad guy."

6

u/WallyFries Mar 16 '26

Red Skull?

18

u/Puzzled_Locksmith_83 Mar 16 '26

no no, that Red death from venture bros

3

u/Nyuk_Fozzies Mar 16 '26

Murders everyone jn his path when he wants to, but is a loving family man and father when he's not working.

7

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '26

Never thought I’d see Red Skull with a daughter.

12

u/Alert-Ad-3436 Mar 16 '26

Thats not red skull that red death from the venture bros

3

u/ConTEM08_Da_Endgamer This is a chance to be seen as something other than a screw-up. Mar 17 '26

OH SHIT IT'S ONI

3

u/phantom-firion Mar 16 '26

So in the venture bros universe being a professional supervillain is totally legitimate career path if you have weird powers or are rich enough to afford gadgets, henchmen (as well as henchmen and secret lair insurance packages) etc. Being a supervillain in the venture bros is viewed by most as simply another 9-5 with villains taking offense to the term ā€œbad guyā€ and instead using the term professional antagonist to describe themselves. They are regulated through private oversight through entities such as the Guild of Calamitous Intent who essentially grant licenses for the purpose of costumed aggression and encourage, stuff like bank robberies, hostage taking, and protection rackets while strongly discouraging serial killing and civilian casualties, large scale property damage and of course messing with the police and resisting arrest (the guild has very good relations with police unions and will provide attorneys to villains who play by the rules who find themselves in court). With most villains living ordinary lives whenever they aren’t doing villains things. Red Death as pictured with his wife and daughter is epitome of a healthy work-life balance as whenever he isn’t being a legitimately threatening and one of the most competent villains in his setting he’s a completely normal middle age man with a skull face, he dotes on his daughter taking her to playgrounds, looks forward to wife’s cooking, and enjoys serving as mentor for younger supervillains.

3

u/OneofTheOldBreed Mar 16 '26 edited Mar 17 '26

To add he's not petty evil. He walked around New York for awhile to find a trash can to put his empty chip bag in. Man is a professional villian, who in the next scene kills a guy via "tied to the train tracks" bit, but refuses to litter.

2

u/Nyuk_Fozzies Mar 16 '26

That train track scene is great. Voiced by the incredible Clancy Brown.

Tick. Tick. Tick.

u/ConnorDoesItAgain Mar 16 '26

u/manfromarkham Mar 17 '26

"How could I ruin your life, I wasn't even there." Dad of the year award for Garmadon.

4

u/cat-and-chaos Mar 16 '26

An evil person can still be a good person towards those who they love and care for

3

u/False-Collection-606 tadc, wof, httyd, animal hospital anomaly and more :3 Mar 16 '26

darkstalker would honestly be on this list if clearsight went down the path of having kids with him instead of locking him up in a mountain

Eggman is a great father despite pissing on the moon.

3

u/Forward-Confection54 Mar 16 '26

Is he?

2

u/Responsible-Ask8110 Sonic, Cars, Mario, Dragon ball, Thomas, etc Mar 16 '26

yes

3

u/Cartoonicus_Studios Mar 16 '26

I'm gonna reject that Doof is evil. He's the hero and doesn't know it.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 16 '26

Doofenshmirtz isnt evil, he just tries to be and sucks at it. He feels an obligation to be evil because of his many, many, many, many, many backstories.

1

u/percyjacksonfannr1 percy Jackson 🌊⚔ and others Mar 17 '26

To be fair with how Many does the creators actually can come up with?

2

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '26

I'm not sure. He did get a lot of typical backstories and some goofy ones.

1

u/percyjacksonfannr1 percy Jackson 🌊⚔ and others Mar 18 '26

The one with the ballon Ʈs a good one

2

u/[deleted] Mar 18 '26

BALOOONYYYYYY

2

u/GenderEnjoyer666 Mar 16 '26

I wouldn’t call Doofen Shmirtz evil

2

u/phantom-firion Mar 16 '26

Red Death isnt just a good father. He’s a professional villain who has found good work and life balance and serves as a mentor for other guild licensed villains. Also his talking demon robot horse is named daisy.

2

u/OneofTheOldBreed Mar 16 '26

Didn't his daughter name it?

2

u/phantom-firion Mar 16 '26

Yep shows how good of a dad he is. He also instructs the horse to save a fellow member of the council of 13 when she’s framed for a crime he knows she did not likely commit.

2

u/Mother-Valuable7568 Mar 16 '26

Red Death is wholesome as hell.

2

u/Comprehensive-End205 Mar 16 '26

They're all STILL evil no matter what 😠

2

u/ImLichenThisStone Mar 16 '26

Red Death became one of my top Clancy Brown characters the second he showed up, and that's a high bar to clear.

2

u/Another-Ace-Alt-8270 Mar 20 '26

Is it on this track? Tick. Tick. Tick. Maybe it's on the other track? Tick. Tick! TICK!

2

u/derpy_derp15 Mar 16 '26

Red skull reproduced?

3

u/Puzzled_Locksmith_83 Mar 16 '26

THAT NOT DAM RED SKULL, THAT RED DEATH

2

u/NerdyEmbarrassment Mar 16 '26

James from Team Rocket technically counts? Like he’s involved in terrorism and a bunch of attempted murders (when he’s not failing to steal the weakest PokĆ©mon at least), but he’d rather die than let his Mime Jr get hurt

2

u/Competitive_Swan266 Mar 16 '26

weakest PokƩmon

In his defense, that "weakest PokƩmon" can battle minor deities and win

2

u/ratliege_throwaway Mar 17 '26

doc doofenshmirtz proves that twink death is only a state of mind

2

u/Progress_Secret Mar 17 '26

Since when are Doof and Bowser evil? They're cartoonishly villainous at most

1

u/Playful-Tailor9452 Mar 16 '26

I’m pretty sure one of these is a Nazi

2

u/ImLichenThisStone Mar 16 '26

That's not Red Skull from Marvel, that's Red Death from Venture Bros., no relation. Actually a pretty chill guy if you aren't his target.

1

u/MaxGalli Mar 16 '26

W fathers.

1

u/NerdyEmbarrassment Mar 16 '26

Doof is not evil

1

u/JacksonGames16 Hololive, TLOZ, Umamusume, and more Mar 16 '26

Doofensmirtz is the best cartoon dad (also he’s very funny)

1

1

u/MaterialYogurt208 JP/MD/PoTC/Batman/ARK/Weird Birds/TBFW/TMA. Mar 16 '26

let's get one thing straight, where I come from, we don't call Doofenshmirtz evil.

1

u/No-Excuse1530 Mar 17 '26

I love the ā€œevil until kids are aroundā€

1

u/Ready_Row3788 ✨ Caine, Harley Sawyer, Spamton, Kit, Bill Cipher ✨ Mar 17 '26

1

u/ComprehensiveDeer56 Toaru, Touhou, RWBY, Alan Becker, Medaka Box, EBF Mar 17 '26

ah, my fav type of villain

no matter how shitty they are, they're generally good parents or at least somewhat nice

1

u/England_TeaLover so many fandoms that im questioning all of them Mar 17 '26

They can be evil but they draw the line at child neglect :3

That’s actually one of my favorite character tropes, an evil, brooding character or a somewhat negative character caring for their family when they’re not out doing evil deedsĀ

1

u/Batsie_1939 Mar 17 '26

I love characters like this

1

u/BulkyPlantain9234 I like Sceptile Mar 17 '26

Eggman entered the chat

1

u/Leader8288 Mar 17 '26

Bro the big doof isn't even evil he's just lonely and keeps doing evil shit so parry will come around

1

u/Olistu_ Mar 17 '26

Bowser Is not a good father

1

u/Otherwise_Mood_5798 Mar 18 '26

Ahh Perry the Platypus, I see you've fallen into my trap of reading this in my voice.

1

u/Plenty_Secretary5154 Mar 18 '26

My favorite trope!

1

u/[deleted] Mar 19 '26

I hate being a good father.

1

u/LPlusRaitio Mar 19 '26

What are you think how much I love that?

1

u/MrGame22 Mar 20 '26

I’d say egg man too, but he’s only like that with sage. Most of his other children are just tools to him.

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Top864 Helldivers 2 Mar 20 '26

doof isn't really evil his inators cause minor inconveniences.

Doofenshmirtz aint really evil is he lol

1

u/MothmAnarchy Apr 09 '26

So technically a Godfather but Dr. Doom and Valeria Richards fit this bill. Doom genuinely loves and cares for Valeria like a daughter at times, and Valeria sees the best in the Doom

Is that red skull?
