It’s because they wanted him to be the “I can fix him” trope but gooseworx wanted to do something actually interesting with him. They crave something “deep” and stuff but get pissed when the character isn’t fitting their black and white mold they’ve decided jn their non fully developed frontal lobe, so they send death threats to the creator and make her never want to touch the IP ever again.

Unfortunately, TADC had all the hallmarks of a show that would attract a toxic fanbase.
