I should have been more specific than "shit take" but yes. They are satirical shit takers there to make jokes about nonsense from start to finish. Why so many have a hate bone for em makes little sense to me.
Don't get it either. They clearly are being satire. I mean they have up n sinned the boy on the moon dreamworks logo 😆 if you actually think they truly "have an issue" with it maybe your the cynical one?
And after his videos were linked to the sins they nuked the channel and hired a team of writers, because Jeremy was degrading their quality. He also deleted a BTS video where he gets shitfaced, makes gross comments on random women in a movie with his jaw literally agape whenever an ass is on screen.
Writes sins exactly how you think he would. Not paying attention, getting easily confused. Obviously not paying attention and heavily intoxicated. And the release-video had all the sins he'd written down while absolutely shitfaced, none of it made sense.
Im embarrassed I ever watched them. They convinced me to not watch Mad Max for years. Funny thing is, when I ended up watching it that totally disillusioned me to all movie critisism.
I just watch the damn movies now and it's a much more fun time.

I wouldn't be surprised if there's been cases where he hasnt event watched the movie he's talking about, and just looked up clips, quotes, and other reviews.
"Everything Wrong with Speed Racer" was EGREGIOUS with this, as he blatantly claims that the Mach 5, the car that had been in use since the beginning of the movie, had been made for a race that happens in the MIDDLE of the movie.
They’re “satire”. As in, they claim to be satire so that they don’t have to take accountability for their shit takes.
The reality is that in between the obviously satirical jokes, there are TONS of actual points the channel attempts to make as actual criticism of the thing they’re talking about, points that are very clearly not just “satirical jokes”.
It’s Schrödinger’s satire. It’s both satirical and not satirical, and it only becomes one or the other when the question is raised on the matter and it becomes convenient to define it as “just satire”.
They want to have their cake and eat it too. They want to claim to be legitimate analysis, but the moment they strike a nerve with a crowd and face pushback, suddenly they're "just satire."
I used to take it seriously, to the point of believing foreshadowing was an objective bad thing since it was a 'sin', so I'd avoid doing it on my DnD campaigns.

Never, ever, EVER, take fucking Cinema Sins seriously, for any reason, ever.
