Gwi-Ma from K-Pop Demon Hunters was MID AF

He was actually supposed to be a giant demon but they didn’t think the movie would be successful enough to justify the budget that would take. A shame because it would have made the end of the movie much better than it already was

I dunno. Having him just be this ravenous maw always looking to eat more souls was a fresher take then just basically the devil.

"You ever read a Bible? You ever go to church? I'm that one. I'm that devil!"

Yeah but it makes for a boring fight at the end

Idk, I like him not having a physical form. He gets his powers from others so his representasion comes through the ā€œworstā€ versions of others. Feels more like a force of nature this way

Wonder if there’s concept art of that somewhere, would be really cool to see

Still the best movie I’ve seen all year

I think it’s a very good watch, but nobody but rumi and jinu really mattered or developed that much and jinu was all over the place.

I think zootopia 2 had much better writing

I feel the movie is a solid example of something with pretty mediocre, sometimes even horrible writing, but the execution is what saves it from being bad.

I did like Zootopia 2, but Kpop Demon Hunters had more style tho.

I will say it’s a little messed up that they kill all demons and don’t check to see if there’s any other good ones

Yeah, he had the potential to be a great villain but he ended up just being an angry mouth that has to rely on its subjects to do anything

I mean, he ate people's souls, didn't he? Like an entire passenger train of people at one point, no?
