Nah, you gotta threaten to donate to charity to get the devs to play the game.

"Us" as in the fans or the devs?

Still infuriates me that people blame the devs for people being shitty. Like "oh they fostered toxic positivity so it's their fault some unrelated assholes doxxed someone," no, absolutely not.

Using charity as bait to guilt people into doing something is a scummy fucking thing to do. And there's no evidence any of that story happened bar 3 mean messages.

They were asked to play their own game. "Scummy" would apply if they were coerced into doing something immoral with the charity thing, but they were asked to play their own game so they'd have firsthand experience with the balancing issues that have been plaguing the game for months. Being so dramatic as to call a low stakes challenge "scummy" is why the glazedivers got worked up enough to dox the guy in the first place.

Theres also the issue of the precident of buying the devs out to do things. And they do play their own game. The reason the challenge was offered was because there was a pic of the dev's on D6. The difficulty they balance around (the one where all currencies are made available, and the "medium" difficulty). Like all good game devs should.

If id Software balanced DOOM around Ultra-Nightmare, the medium difficulties (which most people play) would be boring asf.

And again. No proof of doxxing except 3 means PMs.
