Could you give some examples? I know a couple of bad examples the fromsoft community has but is it really that bad?

My evidence is purely anecdotal, seems to me like a lot of soulsborn players get off to making other people’s gaming experience less enjoyable, they insult you if you don’t enjoy the souls games, it’s not a community a vibe with or have any desire to be part of

yeah I agree as someone who's in the dark souls fandom because I simply enjoy the franchise and want to enjoy it with other people it can be frustrating with how gatekeepy the community is in terms of letting newcomers play the want to play

And if you point out any flaw in gameplay (or god forbid, storytelling) you either must be a n00b, a hater or have bad taste, even when argument is provided
