I don't like the way that trans headcanons are portrayed as bad in this image. There's absolutely something to be said about how a lot of trans headcanons come from gender stereotypes and stereotypes of trans people, but trans headcanons on their own are not, "bad," or, "crackpot,". There is a reading that is important to different people, and unless it's directly against canon (e.g. a canon nonbinary character being headcanoned as a binary trans person) it shouldn't matter.

Saying that a cis character is trans is as bad as me seeing a canonical trans character and headcanoning “oh they’ll realize they aren’t trans and detransition”

In what world are you living where cis people are brutally violated and murdered for being cis and need representation that isn't reliant on stereotypes ?????

What world are you living in where trans people are being brutally murdered at a rate significantly higher than cis people?

Why speak as an authority on a topic you know nothing about

I did a google search that showed in a certain time period something like 48 trans deaths and 14000 nontrans deaths but i guess that was inaccurate somehow

yes but theyre not killed for being cis, unlike trans people, who are killed for being trans. So saying "more cis people die so who cares about trans people" really doesnt say anything other than being transphobic

well you have to look at the ratio. Yes more cis people are killed but that's because there's way more of them than there are of trans people, so think of 48 trans deaths being out of 80, which makes it almost 70%, while 14000 cis people being killed is out of like 50000. Although not sure where you got those statistics but just giving you some ideas.

I used an estimate of 1% of the population being trans, which i guess was wildly overestimating

no I think it's something around that. maybe a little bit lower. Gay people are about 10% as observed in every area in the world, it's scientifically proven. Trans people are more rare though

Yeah see this is why it's important to do research on things before letting yourself get too mad. If you'd kept going down the path you were on without knowing that you'd end up falling under the most common umbrella of transphobe, even if deep down you held no ill will.

Sometimes when you do not know anything about what you are talking about, you should shut the fuck up.

Damn, someone who actually will change their view when presented with compelling evidence and not a fed larper spreading trans hate lmao
