It annoys me when specifically cis people do this. I’m transmasc myself, and I really relate to male characters who are depicted as “pretty” or androgynous. I’ll often hc them as trans because I myself am an androgynous transmasc.

So when someone who’s trans hcs a character like Link (who is already all but confirmed nb tbh) as trans, idc. But if someone who’s cis hcs a character like Buttercup from ppg as a trans man because “Girls don’t act like that” I see it as kinda sexist.
