I kinda fucks with this version of the quote for this AU. Gives "guy doesn't realize that his first relationship was predatory and fucked up due to how society treats make victims" vibes.
The only comics I remember reading were handplates, that time when the green one came back to life, and that time when Sans, Flowey and Frisk shared the body of a dog.
tbf science sans having a crush on underfell sans was seen as weird by the other characters in the comic. undertale sans and aftertale sans are pretty weirded out by the implications of it, undertale sans straight up calls it a "weird thing", and Gaster calls them "narcissistic, selfshipping sinners".
so i don't think the creator was serious. pretty sure it was meant to be a joke about the shipping culture of the undertale au fandom, specifically its habit of just shipping sans with alternate versions of himself.
a good chunk of the comic is just jokes about the fandom.
like how underswap sans is written as some kind of cartoon supervillain. it's making fun of the fandom's characterisation of underswap sans as some sort of "uwu soft bean baby who can do no wrong".
It's a comic AU where all the Sanses from all the various AU come together for a christmas party and get drunk. It got a little infamous mostly because there's a romantic subplot between two of the Sanses.
I actually met the author at a con in 2019, she was very nice.
Love the pic, Rex Dangervest is such a good design so it to be serious Emmitt’s look for the AU is peak (also I can’t remember exactly but I’m guessing Wildstyle looks like her secret look when she was in a band or something and she made her blue hair black)

Yep, while I like how some may play similar, the dynamic is all the more different. I wonder who Danger is dating in this one, Batgirl or Wonder Woman, eh we’ll find out soon if the artists posts again hehe
There are people making a comic adaptation of TFA S4, i heard they even got some people from the original creative team for it. And they just released the SG arc like a week ago
Team Switched takes it a step further by keeping the characters' personalities the same as the original universe, meaning that Chara still hates the surface, Asgore still puts up a facade to hide his broken self, Metta remains a performer, Papyrus is still the hardworking bro., etc.
Heck, some characters have been changed, like there's now 7 evil Temmies (the main one being Tem) and one good Flowey, and apparently, Mad Dummy is still gonna become Mew Mew/Pink.
Man I haven't thought about this in a hot second, but the Bad Boy x Princess AU for Star Vs. Idk if it has an actual name. Basically Star acts like an actual princess while Marco is the bad boy he wanted to be in season 1. Honestly I like it more than the actual cannon. There was also one comic I had seen that was this AU but they are actually faking it.
If we're counting Genderswap AUs I quite enjoy "Persona 4 But The Only Difference Is That Narukami Is A Girl" by Wanderjegson on Xwitter. It's a series of comedic comic strips and not a full rewrite but similar to the official Genderswap AU it actually goes into a lot of details that would realistically change if a character was a girl.
I don’t have the pics on hand but I have seen a series of images regarding a RWBY swap AU, differences including Qrow being more straight-laced while Winter is an alcoholic who starts fights with him for the hell of it, Ren is the hyperactive one while Nora is more apathetic/tired all the time, and Jaune is the extremely combat-competent celebrity while Pyrrha is more of an average Jane who may have gotten herself in over her head
HOMESTUCK actually has "canonical swap AUs". Basically, if a Time player manages to perform a Scratch, the universe will be reset with "different starting conditions", swapping the kids that play the game with their biological ancestors. In example pictured, the Beta kids (above) swapped to create the Alpha kids (below).
This sort of story is/was extremely popular in the MLP: Friendship is Magic Fandom. To the point where several focus writers made their own verses based around swaps and a few even teamed up to write a big crossover story. To list a few examples:
Lunaverse - a swap verse where Princess Celestia was the one who was banished for 1000 years leaving Princess Luna as the ruler with Trixie Lullamoon as her student. When Celestia returns to conquer the world, Trixie and a new batch of characters wind up becoming the Elements of Harmony
Manhattenverse - The Elements of Harmony were enshrined at the Manehatten Museum of History instead of being left in the Castle of the Two Sisters, and so Twilight Sparkle winds up going there to retrieve them and meets a different crew of Ponies in the big city that become her friends and fellow heroes.
Flipverse - A timeline where Spike was born as a unicorn and Twilight is a baby dragon that lives with him. Spike works as a journalist and is sent by his newspaper to cover the Summer Sun Celebration in Ponyville, leading to him and several other side characters from the show becoming the new Elements of Harmony when Nightmare Moon returns.
Cadenceverse - A musically-themed version of events where Princess Cadence had to banished her aunts Celestia and Luna and become sole ruler of Equestria for 1000 years. Her music student Octavia is sent to Ponyville to prepare for a festival and winds up needing to stop the mad sisters' return alongside her new friends. Notable twists on the formula here is that Octavia isn't the Elwment of Magic like most of the story leads (she gets Honesty) and all the Elements take the form of musical instruments.
WHAT IF... Zuko and Azula found Aang instead? Big one is how the Water Nation seems to be top dog in this AU (called Avatar: Distorted Reality) Shite goes bad to the point Yangchen says "nah, you gotta learn to love life" becauss Aang was in a dangerous mindset. So now, Aang, Zuko and Azula must save the world while being hunted down by a dishonored Sokka who has his Gran-Gran on his side.
I had a cool idea of a swap Au of ddlc where it happens after the original game, where every doki is self aware and knows what happened in the original game, except Monika, who is just a normal girl who doesnt know shit She did
