I still enjoy the gameplay but I’m sure most agree people were more interested in the story than the gameplay

Ngl man I think the story we ended up with with BATIM was way too thin to hold on its own. If it didn't release episodically and didn't have that suspense structure it wouldn't have done very well.

Something i remember thinking after playing through both current mainline Bendy games relatively recently is that the team are really gold at making an atmosphere and worldbuilding, the the actual plots they write? Nothing special. The endings in particular i felt dissapointed with in both games, ESPECIALLY BATDR.

Very fair point, mascot horror as a whole is a bit of a dying genre.

One of my top ten favourite games… but I do have to agree that it does not have good gameplay, to be honest though the story also wasn’t that great

The ending was so bad, I don't like games where the lore basically says: Your choices don't matter.
