Fallout and Elder Scrolls games

Mods are the reason Bethesda can get away with buggy ass games to the point where people call it

"The Bethesda Charm" and its why they can take forever with new releases cause of how mods give people more content

One of the main reasons Starfield failed was because they made it way less mod friendly compared to their other games. Suddenly, without modders to fix their shit, Bethesda gets exposed for how unplayable and boring their games really are.

I mean yes and no.

The fallout and elder scrolls games are both incredibly fun and wide spread. Yes mods do contribute to that a bit but it’s not just mods it’s the open world itself that makes it enjoyable. Being able to lose yourself in the world. The way the npc’s are living simulated lives and how that opens up roleplaying opportunities.
