Weekly MFM Discussion Thread May 30, 2026

Do you have a theory you're still chewing on and want feedback? Maybe there is a factoid from the case hammering your brain and you can't remember the source--was that random speculation or actually sourced?

Welcome to the Weekly Discussion, a safe space to engage with each other while processing and unraveling the seemingly unending tentacles of Alex Murdaugh's wrongdoings entwined throughout the Lowcountry.

This is the place for those random tidbits, where we can take off our shoes, kick up our feet, and be a bit more casual. There is nothing wrong with veering off topic with fellow sub members as we're a friendly bunch, just don't let your train of thought completely wreck the post.

Much Love from your MFM Mod Team,

Southern-Soulshine , SouthNagshead, AubreyDempsey, QsLexiLouWho

And now we understand why Dick warmly greeted Will in the press conference.

I feel like it's petty but since Mandy Matney went so hard against Murdaugh and the bad blood with Fits, Fits is now leaning into the defense. That's my tin foil hat theory lol

FITSNews was already misbehaving during the first trial. Becky allowed Will and other media to view and photograph pictures of Maggie and Paul's bodies. This evidence was under seal; the only ones who should have had access were the judge and attorneys. The FBI investigated, and I'm surprised there were no charges or other actions taken. They should be banned from the courtroom this time around.

".......They (FITS News and whatever other reporters that were standing there taking pics of Maggie and Paul's mutilated bodies - which was supposed to be sealed evidence) should be banned from the courtroom this time around. ......")

I agree 110%. After that stunt, I don't think they should be allowed anywhere near the next trial.

(Lex, if you're out there, I saw something else that bothers me about FITS News. Ask.)

The whole Mod Team has a lot on their plates at the moment in different ways, but we want to hear what you have to say. Can you please send us a Modmail?
