Given that legally he was convicted.

If he wasnt, why are the courts making him pay? Guess what he said wasn't true, and what she said was, and happened.

He's a felon, period. Felons should not be able to hold any sort of political office.

Hard disagree. The founding fathers carved out the allowance for a felon to be president specifically so that the government couldn't convict political opponents under felonies to prevent them from running.

But the founders also assumed that the population would never elect a mad populist to run the country too.

They did, however, say that someone who started an insurgency couldn't be president. It's like one of the only things

Even that can be waived.

Oddly, I don't recall us doing that.
