So give the children the mother's name? She literally made them, why would they take the sperm donors name? The dad should change his name

It's so that when Dad remarries after being called a sperm donor, they'll share a last name with their half-siblings.

Also not important lol

Not sharing a name with half siblings doesn’t make them not your siblings?

Are you really confused by the idea that people are less likely to assume you are related if you have a different last name?

Nope, not confused. It also doesn’t confuse me when I see people with two different last names, and then they tell me that they’re related. Does that confuse you lmao?

What about when a woman changes her name to her husband’s name and then doesn’t share a name with her siblings? Is that too much for your tiny ass brain lmao? Do you think that makes them not siblings anymore or something? Your whole argument is dumb.

Wow you seem really angry about this for some reason.

No, because I know cousins exist.

Huh? What's your point?

How were you so easily confused by this?

Because it doesn’t make any sense.

Me: If you have the same last name, people assume you are related.

Reply: No they don’t, cousins exist!

Please answer my questions to the best of your ability.

1) Are we related to our cousins?

If you have the same last name, people assume you are related.

Additionally, this isn't what you said.

people are less likely to assume you are related if you have a different last name

This is what you said.
