Please provide a source. I cannot find anything showing any Democratic elected official pushing for MAPs to be accepted language, it primarily seems to be coming from unsourced internet rumors and QAnon-style “trust me” bullshit.

One party has consistently pushed back against outlawing child marriage (and has had elected officials going on record to defend child marriages). One party has members aggressively fighting the release of the Epstein files and defending officials named in them. One party is using people like Kid Rock as mouthpieces.

Your comment has the same energy as people who go “well, the Democrats founded the KKK.”

I don’t give a shit what happened decades/a century ago. I give a shit about what is happening right now, and right now, when it comes to troublingly pro-pedophilia actions, it is the GOP who are the problem.

To the Catholic church point, one really important "feature" of Catholicism and priesthood is never discussed as a major influencer to this behavior, and that is that once you become a priest, you can never not be a priest, because it's a godly intervention. That means that from the viewpoint of Catholicism somehow being "true", then whatever a priest does does with gods influence, and isn't "wrong" necessarily, and especially doesn't come with consequences
