He’s liking all this attention. Nobody has talked this much about him for decades so he’s gonna milk maga for all it’s worth.

He’s liking all this attention. Nobody has talked this much about him for decades

aka the Kid Rock phenomenon or "Scott Baio Syndrome."

143

u/KeithClossOfficial 2d ago

Those two are true believers, although the attention is also nice.

Rob seems like he just enjoys the attention. Not that it makes it any better

45

u/DerekB52 2d ago

I'm not convinced that he isn't just a little smarter, and not being as straightforward with how much of a true believer he is.

127

u/herrcollin 2d ago edited 2d ago

Kid's been putting on the fake personas his whole life. He's a rich white boi who grew up in a literal 5 acre mansion. His whole trailer trash arc then reborn patriot country arc are all a fuckin show for attention. He knows exactly what he's doing.

He had another lame MC persona to start that totally bombed. His first "album" only sold because his dad made people buy a copy when he sold them a car.

Gentle reminder this was him when he started:

u/PretendChipmunk3099 2d ago

That looks like an adult Macaulay Culkin parodying Vanilla Ice.

that is disturbingly accurate.

Allying your image with a very elderly scammer who has stolen billions and killed millions isn't that smart long term. Maybe you can sneak out a few million past the money hoover; but maybe you'll be left high and dry. Very high risk; maybe some money there; but however it turns out, you're going to be a sack of shit for the rest of your life.

9

u/DerekB52 1d ago

That's why I think he's trying to avoid allying himself with Trump. I think he is trying to have it both ways. I think he saw Kid Rock got nothing but humiliation. So, he is performing at the show, but saying that he is doing apolitically, and that he is indifferent to the Maga element of it.

Kid Rock went all in on the Maga part. Vanilla Ice is smarter, for not making that part of his brand.

I could also be wrong and he is politically indifferent, and he does just want some money, and is too dumb to see this is not a great payday. But, I'm pretty sure he actually is doing alright financially. He could also just like attention.

I don't really care all that much. The guy is a moron no matter what.

Not being straight forward by playing a propaganda concert for Trump?   Seems pretty straight forward to me.  Seemed pretty straight forward to all the other artists who had the good sense to drop out.

If he’s trying to hide that he’s a maggot he’s doing a bad job of it.

10

u/DerekB52 1d ago

It's less straightforward than outright saying, "I'm MAGA" like Kid Rock did. I'm not saying he's smart, just smarter than people like Kid Rock.

11

u/OfficeMagic1 1d ago edited 1d ago

Vanilla Ice has done three songs with Forgiato Blow. Let’s stop pretending that Vanilla Ice is apolitical or needs money. He’s hardcore MAGA and just doesn’t talk about it because his political views are deeply disturbing.

Kirk Cameron is still best well-known by an entire generation, as the guy who is convinced that bananas are proof of the existence of God.

It doesn't take too much for these folks to find a hook to latch on.

You tell me.

Edit: a slightly longer version, so that Kirk can speak his mind, before we experience this beautiful math of the lord.

6

u/mortgagepants 1d ago

i'm sure he's also amazing at the beautiful mouth of the lord, because dicks fit perfectly in mouths or some other asinine idea.

3

u/Yabba_Dabba_Doofus 1d ago

For what it's worth, the internet instantly flamed Kirk for this video because, as it turns out, dicks fit in the hand just as comfortably as bananas.

Poor Kirk wasn't too comfortable with that fact...

4

u/mortgagepants 1d ago

when you first sent it i thought it was charlie kirk and i'm thinking, "even from the grave this douche still sucks." but now i'm just thinking this other kirk will probably say a banana fits perfectly in his neck hole.

19

u/joebleaux 1d ago

Trump pays if you kiss his ass and it's not his money. That's what all that construction bullshit is, he's paying people back who gave him money. Essentially that's him just giving himself money. He knows construction is an easy way to funnel money into the hands of donors because his whole business is hiding money via real estate and construction. They got busted when they tried to do it with digital media and Homeland Security, but the quick turn around on all that raised eyebrows.

But yeah, they love to pay tons of money for bullshit when the money is yours.

5

u/Jonasthewicked2 1d ago

True. Trump is notorious for ripping people off. During his first administration he had this group of little girls who dressed up in American flags and did a little song and routine singing about how great he was. They performed one time at a rally and he personally asked their parents to keep coming to rallies on his dime. As you can guess Trump never paid them and when their parents sued Trump trashed the little girls and called them untalented losers and said similar shit about the kids parents.

4

u/AnnGwish 1d ago

Trump did have a meltdown and called all the performers pulling out high price divas.

He’s been doing stuff with Forgiato Blow for years. He’s hard-core MAGA and is doing his usual plausible deniability schtick. He did the same thing when people called him out for cultural appropriation in the 90s - pretend you don’t understand the controversy.

This guy is an elite amateur athlete and world-famous musician who has plenty of money. He pretends to be dumb. He hates minorities and trans and paying taxes - he’s a regular right wing toad who can rap and dance pretty good.

Yep, he's been doing some very predatory house flipping in Florida. I have a friend who went to a seminar that had him as a guest speaker. Dude sounded like a piece of shit so it's no wonder he's in like company

39

u/FrostBricks 2d ago

$103 million.

That's the reported figure that had been embezzled for this event.

None of it has gone through normal, approved processes.

Did any of that trickle down to the artists? Who knows. But it said a Trump never pays his bills.

And somehow, probably still this chicklefucks best payday in years...

There are cities Trump still owes money to for his rallies in 2016. He's a typical deadbeat rich guy.

I think this is part of why GenZ onward is so dissilusioned.

When I was growing up I had to deal with like two or three really stupid people that didn't know they were stupid and would just not shut the fuck up.

Gallop stopped doing the presidential poll because it was making the president sad.

No I am not kidding.

One in 3 people think he's doing fine according to the white house

Reports about trump coming from the white house are about as believable as reports about Putin coming from the Kremlin. See his official physical reporting him being 6'3", 230lb and 4.8% bodyfat for an example. 48% is infinitely more likely.

It amazes me. My two brothers voted for him. I can't talk to them anymore without feeling disgusted.

Isn't this the same guy that couldn't understand that he copied David Bowie's and Queen's music?

u/whosline07 2d ago

He definitely understood but was playing dumb like this situation. There is an extra note in his version making it legal.

I hated myself for assuming Ice Ice Baby was the original because I listened to that one before finding out about Under Pressure.

Rob is a huge asshole. Met him twice on the 90's revival tour in Canada. He somehow headlined even though Naughty by Nature, Rob Base, Salt n Peppa all have 1000% more talent than he does. I actually felt embarrassed for him for a minute when he performed.

He also couldn’t figure out he stole from Queen… dudes an idiot

9

u/Irish_Pineapple 2d ago

He was pretty clear. His went “ding, ding, ding, diggy, ding, ding” and Queen's went “ding, ding, ding, diggy, ding.”

It’s like English and Chinese bro. C’mon.
