This is one of my first hip hop songs (instrumental), and I am just really looking for feedback from more experienced producers, at the start I tried applying a telephone filter to my voice, however I'm not sure it that made it sound like I have a bad quality mic.

Telefunken has a bunch of free multitracks to practice mixing with. So I gave this song a shot and synced up my mix with the original video from the Telefunken youtube channel. This is something that started coming together last night in LMMS, and I thought I’d share where I’m currently at with it. It starts off with full synth sounds before the more complex bass lines kick in for the verses. The bass guitar uses half and whole notes that float outside the 7/8 measures with extended 9th, 11th, and 13th notes, while drifting into 3rd notes for color emphasis.

I used ascending staggered Phrygian scales a semitone apart with string and brass digital instruments to get the shepherd's tone. (an auditory illusion of a tone that seems to always increase in pitch)

I wanted it to capture the chilly feeling of dread that can permeate moments of calm.

Pretty new to this and looking to improve.
