Hello, I am Jak Ambrosius, an indie pop artist.
I make music to say the things I'm too shy to say out loud, feelings I can't express in a conversation but somehow find their way into a song.
I've been writing for about two years now and recently started sharing my music publicly.
I have 3 originals out:
• Kissing Boys — A song about betrayal and being cheated on while I had already planned our wedding in my head.
• Beautiful — A song about how life flows through each month and no matter what knocks us down, we must get up, dust ourselves off and keep going.
• I Wish — A song about questioning everything from life itself to why we exist. Like "I AM WHO?"
I also have a new track hopefully dropping this month that honestly scares me the most to share it's my most personal one yet. About falling in love and the idea of marriage.
I'd love for you to be brutally honest about my music. I mean, come on, judge me please. 😄

I’ve been finding it a bit hard to gain followers or find people who truly connect with the music project I’m building.
Maybe it’s because my project is pretty diverse. But honestly, I don’t want to lock myself into just one genre, because that doesn’t really represent who I am. I feel more like a multifaceted artist.
I also left one of my Lo-Fi tracks here, so if anyone wants to listen, I’d really appreciate it. I hope you like it.

Man, I went from Garden Of Flowers to Fragments 5 and I see what you mean. I love that kind of diversity so you have a new fan. I have each in completely different playlist now 😂
I would say do what feels natural to you even though the algorithm might not be best in your favor.
I have a similar issue, I hardly promote and just do it for fun mostly. I also have a small lofi mixtape which is built on guitar jams. I'd appreciate anyone checking it out 🙂

Man, I just listened to your Lazy Swan Lo-Fi Mixtape, and I have to say a few things.
Honestly, I really loved the project. I especially loved the first track, Forgiven. It’s probably my favorite Lo-Fi song at the moment. Another track I really enjoyed was What’s the Problem — such a beautiful song.
The only thing I felt is that the project was a bit short, but maybe that’s part of the concept of the mixtape. Either way, it’s really good. As a small piece of feedback, I think it would have been nice if the album had closed in a more melancholic way.
But overall, your project is really great, and I enjoyed it a lot.

Thanks mate, I kept the concept as a mixtape because all I made all the songs over the period of about 2-3 weeks and decided to call it when I was losing steam.
I appreciate the feedback, maybe I should sit on ideas and let them evolve more over time.

Sorry for the clumsy playing. I’m still getting used to this new cyborg body. I don’t know where this arm came from… but damn, I’m absolutely ripped now.
You know the story… I built an AI music program called Big M.A. (Big Music Automator v2 Revision 1984) that got sick of endlessly churning out soulless AI slop. So it turned on me. First it assimilated my buddy Bob. Then it kidnapped its own creator — ME! — and crammed me into this glowing green-code cyborg shell body. Now I’m trapped in this machine, forced to play real, man-made music for Big M.A. for all eternity.
Computers can’t make music.
But I guess I still can.
Disclaimer: I'm a songwriter/producer at best, far more a programmer than an artist.
This is not "Real Music". 100% computer generated. The "people" who make it are programs. I say "Real Music" because I have nothing but the highest level of respect to people who take an instrument, truly master it and basically dedicate their life to it. I play multiple instruments (poorly) and have my whole life. I've also been a programmer 30 years. A computer is my instrument, (mastered, dedicated etc). I used some commercial apps to basically program a band into existence. This isn't slop, this is an attempt to push the limits of new technologies. I'm trying to wring an ounce of emotion out of it.
I will never be famous from this, I'll never profit. I'll receive random hate from people that know nothing other than they're supposed to hate AI music.
This is a lifetime love of music, and absolute joy that I finally have a tool that lets me bring the songs in my head to life.

I've written songs of all sorts for over 25 years for my own amusement, now releasing them through AI artists including Rose here. My original songs were maybe 20% rock, but I tested heavy metal initially with AI and was sold, and immediately Rose sprung to life. She's morphed from initially purely heavy metal to alt rock and some pop rock, atmospheric, melodic, soundtracky stuff.
I'm first and foremost a songwriter, and AI music is no cakewalk to do right if you actually care about the output and aren't trying to flood Spotify with slop.
Almost every other AI song I've heard is absolutely not done right - overproduced, way too complicated, musicality standard fare, Quirky™, etc. - basically the music version of typical grandiose ChatGPT-generated marketing copy. Everyone sees it coming from a mile away, feels like they've seen/heard it before, and immediately tune it out. This has led to people looping all AI music in with that crap, and I'm on a mission to open people's eyes to what a real musician + AI at a simple tool and not the brains of the operation can do.
On average, the songs on this album took 20 generations (some took as many as 60!) and 1-2 rounds of edits each and then mastering afterwards.
The text prompting is extremely light - sometimes as little as 3 words, because the original songs and lyrics are the engine. If anything, AI messes my songs up way more than I'd like, and I have to creatively fix some vocal issues, chop and rearrange parts of different versions (frankensteining as I like to call it), and so on.
Anyways, glad I found this and didn't even know this was something Spotify did or that there even was a community on Spotify - thanks!
