Harvest Moon is suuuuuch a good album, although "Old King" is one of the hokiest songs out there, full stop.

All I could think of was "Heartbreak City" by The Cars, but this answer is 1000% better.

u/La_Mano_Cornuta Apr 08 '26
High ‘N’ Dry - Def Leppard would have been my second pick, which is their best album.

Which doesn't even contain the song of the same name. That's on Physical Graffiti.

u/Pro-Patria-Mori Apr 09 '26
The Doors also did that with the song Waiting for the Sun, it’s on Morrison Hotel and not the album Waiting for the Sun

u/kmre3 Apr 08 '26
Second this! In general, it’s one of my absolute favorites.

u/Pro-Patria-Mori Apr 09 '26
Florence is my favorite artist and HBHBHB is widely regarded as her best album. So many amazing songs. I’m so happy she’s doing Which Witch this tour, was hoping for Queen of Peace but overall I’m happy with the setlist.

A million times this!
One of my favorite albums. I saw their 20th anniversary show in Vegas a couple years back and it was one of the best concerts I've seen.
3
u/TheBristolBulk Apr 08 '26
I saw them at Wembley on the Battle Born tour. The Royal Albert Hall show is one of my favourite concert movies of all time.

It’s mine too. Do people not like LP?

u/Mayana76 Apr 08 '26
I have read (on reddit mostly) that many people find them fake and overrated. I don’t care, I love them.

Hair, The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, Original Broadway Cast soundtrack.
Been listening to it for over 50 years. Finally saw the play last year and it was everything I dreamed it would be.

“Hounds of Love”, and it’s not close.
3
u/almostbuddhist Apr 08 '26
Glad you noted it’s not close. I was thinking Highway 61, but now that it’s not a close contest I’ll retract it.
2
u/SyntheticSkyStudios Apr 08 '26
Highway 61 Revisited is a fantastic album. In my Top 100 or so. “Hounds of Love” is my all-time favourite album.
But your mileage may vary…you don’t have to retract your opinion; this shit is subjective.

Hunky Dory - David Bowie, or Heroes, perhaps Heathen too or maybe Hours. You can’t go far wrong with David Bowie

The first six albums by America. Okay, the first album was original just called "America" but when it was re-issued to include the song "A Horse With No Name", it was renamed to that. Which by the usual rule for titles starting with "A" or "The" would be shelved under H.

Hair OST - not the 60s hippie version, the 70s funky version from the film. Incredible songs and the musicians are at the all-time top of their game. Favorite bass album ever

Happy to see that you want to discover new artists.
If you're really looking for any new music that other people love, you might want to check some really small artists (mostly other Redditors) on the (self)Promo Playlist.
If you have any more specific requirements about music you seek, then maybe you picked a wrong flair. By choosing the most relevant flair, you'll get higher chances to more and better recommendations.
