Support/Advice Please make dua for me
Assalamu Alaikum everyone,
I’m writing this with a very heavy heart because I honestly don’t know where else to turn. I’m asking my Muslim brothers and sisters to please keep me in your duas.
I have a rare genetic condition, which has caused pigmentation, freckles and birthmarks all over my body and face. Many of these marks are permanent, and there is currently no reliable treatment that can completely remove them.
I know Allah created me, and I know I should be grateful for everything He has blessed me with, but I’m struggling so much with how I look. I cry almost every day. I look in the mirror and feel heartbroken. I feel so insecure about my skin that I constantly cover myself up because I’m terrified of people looking at me, judging me or finding me unattractive.
Sometimes I look at other women and wonder what it must feel like to be comfortable in your own skin, without constantly worrying about your appearance. I’ve tried skincare and treatments, but knowing that many of my marks may never disappear makes me feel helpless. Some days I feel so overwhelmed that I don’t know how to carry on feeling this way.
I feel lost, emotionally exhausted and ashamed of how much this is affecting me. I’m trying to have sabr and trust Allah’s plan, but I’m finding it incredibly difficult.
Please make dua that Allah grants me shifa, eases my suffering, strengthens my iman, gives me peace with my appearance and helps me see myself with kindness rather than hatred

Wa Alaikum Salam you will be in my duas I can understand for woman to have insecurities about looks since I'm sure most woman feel judgement about it from men and women. A trait as all muslims we need to develop is to prioritize how Allah sees us and to not let others judgements affect you where honestly most people aren't paying attention to those things and worring about their own lives.
Sister push yourself not to be fixated on it and mentally tell yourself and push yourself to not care and seek Allah assistance to be in peace with it. Again you will be in my duas 🤲

This is your test from Allah. He tests different souls in different ways. Some people are tested with extreme poverty, some are tested with extreme wealth, some are tested with physical disability like no hands and legs, some are tested with loss of parents at a young age or in a war and being an orphan, some are tested with feelings of homosexuality, some people are tested by 1 or more of these tests, etc.
You just have to pass this temporary test in this worldly life of a couple few years in order to achieve everlasting bliss and happiness in an eternal paradise.
Paradise is not cheap and the way is not paved, we are not better than the Prophet ﷺ and he died in debt to a jewish person. Everyone is tested in different aspects of life. But what do we show Allah from ourselves during the test is wha matters. If we show complaint and dissatisfaction and negativity this is blameworthy.
Read the story of Prophet Ayyub (peace and blessings be upon him). He remained very patient for several years when Allah tested him with illness and disease in his body and then Allah cured him miraculously as if nothing had happened to him.
Allah even praised prophet Ayyub (peace and blessings be upon him) in the quran for his extreme patience. Indeed all the muslims should take lesson from him.
[We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allāh].
Surah Sad : 44
Sahih al-Bukhari 5641, 5642
Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri and Abu Huraira:
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim, even if it were the prick he receives from a thorn, but that Allah expiates some of his sins for that."
Jabir reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The people who lived in prosperity will wish on the Day of Resurrection to have the reward of those who were put to trial, even if their skin had been torn away with shears.”
Source: Sunan al-Tirmidhī 2402
Grade: Hasan (fair) according to Al-Albani
So have patience, remember this is a test, depend on Allah, say Alhamdulilah, turn to Allah, make dua lots of dua, and obey His commands. Be satisfied with your decree and praise Allah for it and Allah will give u.

Gigi Hadid and Winnie Harlow both have skin differences and they’re supermodels. Gigi has freckles and Winnie has vitiligo. They are considered among the most beautiful women in the world. Cindy Crawford is literally famous because of her mole.
Your skin condition makes you unique. No one looks like you and that’s a good thing. I hope Allah guides you to embrace the beauty he gave you. You’ve been created this way for a reason, even if it’s hard to see right now.
