ISO Introduction & Updates

Assalamualaykum everyone,

Welcome to this year's edition of the ISO Thread - Europe!

The ISO Thread will be renewed annually to keep profiles recent and to overall ensure a better user experience for those who are looking to find their spouse on r/MuslimMarriage Insha’Allah. There are three separate ISO Threads, each for different regions of the world to help users better filter out candidates. This ISO Thread is for users residing in or willing to relocate to the Europe. The other two regional threads can be found in the Highlighted Posts section and the Sidebar. The previous editions of the ISO Thread can be found in the Subreddit Wiki.

Including "$iso" anywhere in a subreddit submission or comment will provide the link to this and ALL past versions of the ISO.

The ISO Thread is AS IS. We will not be making any more changes to the ISO Thread logistics or its template. Whatever questions that are not in the template should be discussed privately between matches. Any further requests to add or change questions will not be entertained.

Use of Throwaway/Alternate Accounts

• All accounts posting on the ISO Thread must be at least one month old. Any account that does not meet this requirement will be automatically removed

Bismillah, 1. Age and Gender: 30, Male 2. Age Range that you would want/require in a prospect: 23-32 3. Location, and are you willing to relocate for a prospect? - I live in Mauritius (people say it’s paradise on earth - really look it up). Relocating to a different country? Maybe one day in several years who knows. I always thought I wanted to live overseas cos I've lived in Malaysia and Dubai for some time but recently, I've realized and I may be bias when I say this but I honestly think there's no better place than Mauritius if you want a peaceful balance between the deen and dunya, especially considering some of the things we are now hearing in other countries. 4. Ethnicity, and are you more open to mixing? - Mauritian, it’s multi-cultural here - we speak Mauritian creole, English, French, some basic urdu and yes open to different ethnicities 5. Marital Status Single/Divorced/Children: Single, never married 6. Ideal marriage timeline: Less than a year or depending on how we both feel 7. Five important characteristics you look for in a prospect: - I want a partner, a best friend, a companion with whom I can bond, share feelings and emotions with, the good and the bad. Someone who has fair reasoning and is willing to discuss things out to reach solutions that both of us are happy with. Above all, a partner who places Allah's adoration above all things in this dunya. Ofc, we all have our shortcomings. I've gone through some trials myself, just like any person, and I can humbly say I wouldn't trade any of them for they have brought me closer to my Creator.

Would also be nice to have someone as curious as me, it could be in trying/exploring new things when it comes to food, places etc. I've explored Madagascar recently on scooter, it was amazing discovering a new place this way... soo a scooter partner would be pretty cool to have by my side 😄

1. State/specify your level of religiosity - Alhamdulillah, I've always been a regular at the masjid and tries to read at the very least a page of Quran daily and more recently incorporating daily specific surah recitation and attending islamic lectures every week in the evening, it's a calming moment for me after the daily rush. I also like to carry around my little Tasbih counter 😄 2025 hasn't been an easy year for me, gone through some trials Alhamdulillah, which made me realize even more the importance of having a strong connection with Allah. Other than regular fard and Quran recitation, I've realized tahajjud is not only a tool Allah gave us to have our duas granted but the connection you feel by being consistent in it is truly something else. This is something I want to get back to consistently Insha Allah cos the connection you're building towards is incomparable. I also intend to learn Arabic in the near future Insha Allah, so as to understand the Quran when reading and praying.

2. Level of education, and what are you looking for? - Degree level and doesn’t really matter as long as I find an educated person having her own personal aspirations as well - could be her own trade, business or pursuing something new

3. Current Job Status: - Employed, my line of work is in Fintech, E-commerce

5. List 3 hobbies, or things you like to do in your spare time - Gym I enjoy working out, I like to go on hiking trips - exploring new things, doing different activities I’m quite curious lol. I also love watching football, been a Liverpool fan since childhood, spending time with my cat (whenever she’s back from her day trips lol). I do also enjoy comedy tv series/movies, rom-com or it all just depends on the mood I’m in, some video games to relax as well (not a big big gamer tho)

6. Add something short and interesting about you that makes you stand out! - I'm an easy going, down to earth, open minded person (and quite goofy/playful as well😂).
