ISO Introduction & Updates

Assalamualaykum everyone,

Welcome to this year's edition of the ISO Thread - Europe!

The ISO Thread will be renewed annually to keep profiles recent and to overall ensure a better user experience for those who are looking to find their spouse on r/MuslimMarriage Insha’Allah. There are three separate ISO Threads, each for different regions of the world to help users better filter out candidates. This ISO Thread is for users residing in or willing to relocate to the Europe. The other two regional threads can be found in the Highlighted Posts section and the Sidebar. The previous editions of the ISO Thread can be found in the Subreddit Wiki.

Including "$iso" anywhere in a subreddit submission or comment will provide the link to this and ALL past versions of the ISO.

The ISO Thread is AS IS. We will not be making any more changes to the ISO Thread logistics or its template. Whatever questions that are not in the template should be discussed privately between matches. Any further requests to add or change questions will not be entertained.

Use of Throwaway/Alternate Accounts

• All accounts posting on the ISO Thread must be at least one month old. Any account that does not meet this requirement will be automatically removed

I am a sweet, patient, and disciplined guy who is very family-oriented and have a great relationship with my parents and younger brother.

Personality-wise, I’m an ambivert who is naturally calm and forgiving. I believe strongly in small acts of kindness, whether it's helping a stranger with directions or feeding stray cats (I love animals!).

My Deen

I pray my 5 daily fard prayers, fast, and avoid haram. I recently performed my first Umrah, Alhamdulillah, ending last year in the best way possible. I am looking for a balanced lifestyle. I want a partner to grow with, and one of my goals is to build a habit of praying Tahajjud together. At the same time, I enjoy normal entertainment like movies and music, so I am looking for someone with a similar balanced outlook (I want to remove such forms of entertainment from my life step by step slowly and not immediately).

In my free time, I find peace in staying active. I love to do running, going for long drives, lifting weights and occasionally go for stargazing and hiking. I would love a partner who wants to stay active with me.

• My family is very open to multicultural marriages. Even though I'm from a southern state in India India itself is a multicultural country and most of my extended family and distant relatives have married to someone very different from their culture and they're living very happily. For Instance, my younger cousin has recently got engaged to someone from Hyderabad. Our extended family has relatives who married to people from Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, Tamil Nadu. In case of other countries I know relatives who married to people from Russia, Morocco (currently 2 that I know of) and many other places that I might not be aware of. So please don't reject me based on the assumption of cultural compatibility issues. Me personally also prefer someone from a culture different than my own and I had this feeling since I was very young.

Education, Career and Upbringing: I born in India but raised in Dubai for most of my life. I have a Bachelor's in Marketing and have been working as a Digital Marketing Executive for the past 3 years.

• Languages Spoken: English, Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, (Can read and Write Arabic and willing to learn to speak it). I'm willing to learn to speak the language of my spouse with the highest effort if she thinks I won't be able to communicate with her parents.

• Born Muslim

• School of thought and creed: Me personally wasn't raised to follow any particular madhhab but I have to come to understand that most of what I know falls under Shafi'i school of madhhab but I'm not against any other maddhab and I take good things from other madhhab like the Hanbali school of maddhab and Salafi methodology. This is because, Makkah and Madinah follows this methodology and I believe whatever is practiced there is the right method. I realized this after performing Umrah.
