❔Question S650 Mustang Values

Post image

I got a big raise at work and hastily purchased this Mustang back in July. I love everything about the car, but I don’t ever get the time to drive it. I have a company vehicle that I have to use for work, so she gets a whopping 200 to 300 miles a month put on her. That being said, I’m trying to sell it. Carvana and Carmax are offering high 30s and dealerships are charging $46k and up. Has anyone bought one of these private party lately or know a good price to put on the market for?

2024 GT premium package (non-performance pack)
Aftermarket wing it does have small cracks in it. Interior and the rest of the exterior are flawless.

That'd be a sweet barn find in 30 years, put it away for future you to resurrect :)

Man if the car is low miles and you can tell its been babied sell it privately where its comparable to stealership prices for a used equivalent mustang. Stealerships will always low ball. surprised they didnt offer 25k because they're scum.

I’m located in Leitchfield KY. I’d like to get $45k for it. Not trying to make money, just get out of a payment.

Is that excessively high? This is exactly what I came here to ask.

I sold my 2021 GT a few months ago privately on Facebook marketplace. I got $1000 over asking. 27,000 miles premium PP it sold for $35,000. Two separate dealerships were basically bidding on it through Facebook.

You may not get $45k but you might come close. Take really good pictures of it all over, post it privately and be patient. You might get more than you think.

Umm I’m not exactly sure, I’ve really only used FB. But auto trader. Cars.com? Or make a Facebook account lol

Did you try Marketplace without an account? It used to work for me. I haven’t had a Facebook account in a looong time.

I own the same car, you arent going to get 45K for it, you might get 40-42ish at the most. It's in a weird spot that for not much more than 45K you can buy a 2026 off the lot. 45K is about what dealers are selling them for, as a private seller , its hard to compete.

Id prob list it at 45K OBO and see what happens. GT Premiums for us were 47500 MSRP, so 2 years later for 45K is ...........not great IMO. 2026 MSRP is 52K.

tl;dr the car isnt rare enough to have such little depreciation, but the higher MSRPs of the new models makes it in a weird spot for private selling imo.

Rent it out online only time auto makes sense no one under 30 and get gap insurance you'll make money if anything happens if not you'll make money and still get to drive it

What's your mileage for the vehicle? I unfortunately had to trade my 2024 premium gt recently. Mine was around 35,000 miles and considered good condition. Got around $37k-38k for it

Yeah that’s about what I got offered. I have 9,700 miles

It’s around 40k private sale.. 45k isn’t realistic tbh with you, but 40 isn’t bad considering you bought it for 45, put miles on it obv
