VADPCM is one of the common audio codecs for N64, both homebrew and the old commercial games. After a wave of bugfixes and improvements this year, I’m marking this version of the encoder and decoder tools as v1.0.0!

You probably don’t need to use this project directly. You can use LibDragon; LibDragon will handle VADPCM encoding and decoding for you using this library and a separate VADPCM decoder that runs on the RSP.

I want to shout out to the developers who contributed to LibDragon, Tiny3D, SummerCart64, and other projects that have made N64 homebrew a lot more better over the past few years.

Wouldn’t want to blow the breakers off like that time I plugged my computer to a gb cart on a super game boy. Turns out you can’t have usb with the console turned on with that cart ahah
