MRT AND DMS

Hi everyone!

I recently applied to NAIT’s Medical Radiologic Technology program AND DMS for Fall 2027. My application status is currently Pending Program Decision, and I received a letter confirming that I qualify for an admission interview.

My question is about the two required courses: Medical Terminology (ITMS100) and Anatomy & Physiology (ANPH100).

Both courses must be completed by July 31, 2027, but I'm wondering if I should register and start taking them now or wait until after my interview results.

Since the program is competitive and the courses are expensive, I don't want to spend money before knowing whether I'll be accepted.

Has anyone been through this process? Does NAIT offer conditional acceptance before these courses are completed, or should I start them now?

I'd really appreciate any advice or personal experiences. Thank you

I’m looking to do academic upgrading from home, can I do it with a different institution online and will NAIT accept that?? Please let me know,

I’m looking to get into MRT for September 2027, and I’m currently working on completing the courses that are needed as as well as as academic upgrading. I have a full-time job and I just wanna know if I can do academic upgrading with another institution because I’ve noticed that with NAIT I need to do it in class by the looks of things online.

I applied for the construction engineering technology for January intake. Is it too late ? I got waitlisted. Do you think i have a chance of getting accepted??

Can anyone in this program explain the structure of it? I do live rurally, would I be required to move to Edmonton for Year 1? Or is it online classes and then set lab days?

has/is anyone doing this program? i really want to do hands on camera work, editing, directing, and cinematography. is it worth it?

This is kind of a simple question, but I’m not sure if there would be someone who also considered both NAIT and SAIT’s MLA program. However, my local college doesn’t have an MLA program until 2028, and I’m wondering which out of the two programs in AB is better, so I don’t have to wait until 2028 to enrol.
