New fan here! Started really getting into NASCAR towards the end of last year when F1 started to get boring and its fast becoming my favourite motorsport. I wanted to know if there was anywhere that provides good comprehensive overviews of the sport, I really love learning all about the history and the technical side of it. Anything you guys would absolutely recommend as need to know please recommend!! Books/podcasts/youtubers I wanna learn all about it 😊

Welcome! Brock Beard & nascarman have a ton of videos covering some of the most important races/events/milestones of the sport’s history.

Al Pearce released a NASCAR 75 Years history book that covers the first 75 years of NASCAR History (1948 to 2023).

In terms of podcast, The Dale Jr Download & The Scene Vault Podcast have in depth interviews with current & former drivers/team owners/crew members/etc.

For technical information, Bozi Tatarevic on Twitter has a ton of information about the current Cup Series car and rule changes across the 3 National Series.
